The method comprises providing (210) a computational model describing the interaction of light with fibers; obtaining (220) a first set of fiber parameters, which describes a plurality of real fibers (160), for use with the model; modifying (230) the first set of fiber parameters, to produce a second set of fiber parameters describing a plurality of modified fibers; simulating (240), using the model and the second set of fiber parameters, how light would interact with the modified fibers; and rendering (250), based on the result of the simulation, a synthetic image showing the appearance of the modified fibers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of hair coloring and bleaching compositions providing a composition comprising i) at least one source of peroxymonocarbonate ions, ii) at least one alkalizing agent, preferably a source of ammonium ions, and iii) at least one radical scavenger, wherein said composition has a pH of up to 9.5, and applying the composition to the hair and retaining on the hair for a period of less than 20 minutes, which provide a high level of lift and lightening and the required dye deposition and grey coverage whilst reducing the concentration of peroxide, the ammonia odor and reducing the hair fiber damage.

Abstract: Compositions suitable for treating hair comprising an oxidizing agent, a conditioning agent selected from silicone materials, especially nonvolatile silicone and amino functionalised silicones, cationic surfactants, cationic polymers, alkoxylated amines and mixtures thereof and at least 1.6% of a chelant. The compositions of the invention are useful for depositing high amount of conditioning agent and reducing oxidative hair damage during oxidative treatment of hair such as oxidative hair dyeing and hair bleaching.

Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided a hair care composition comprising: (a) cationic saccharide polymer or copolymer wherein the cationic polymer has a charge density of greater than about 1.5 meq/g, preferably greater than about 1.6 meq/g, more preferably greater than about 1.7 meq/g, even more preferably greater than about 1.8 meq/g; and (b) less than about 5%, preferably less than about 2%, more preferably less than about 1%, even more preferably 0%, by weight, of anionic surfactant. The compositions of the present invention provide good conditioning/shine to the hair with reduced feelings of tackiness and greasiness.

Abstract: According to the present invention there is provided hair treatment compositions comprising: (a) at least one associative polymer; (b) at least one long chain alcohol; (c) at least one cationic surfactant; wherein the weight ratio of (b):(c) is greater about 1.5:1. The compositions of the present invention have an excellent rheology profile and deliver good conditioning benefits. The compositions herein are stable during storage white being easy to dispense and apply to the hair.
