  • Patent number: 8403647
Abstract: A control device for controlling a shower waste pump, includes a housing, a pump setting, and an over-run setting. The pump setting, by way of a control element, preferably a manually adjustable potentiometer, allows selective setting of a maximum pumping capacity of the waste pump. The over-run setting, also by way of a control element, allows selective setting of an over-run period from a predetermined range during which the waste pump continues to operate after fluid flow through the waste pump has ceased or substantially ceased. The over-run setting and the pump setting together optimize operation of the waste pump, so that the over-run period of the waste pump can be set based on the selected maximum pumping capacity.

  • Patent number: 8037556
Abstract: A shower cubicle panel comprises a main panel element (14) of composite construction with at least two layers of different material, and means for interconnecting the cubicle panel (10) to an adjacent panel (10) and a shower tray (80). A connector for adjacent shower cubicle panels comprises a first part (36), a second part (38). The first part (36) has a first elongate channel portion (22b) for receiving an edge of a first shower cubicle panel, and a male connector portion (42). The second part (38) has a second elongate channel portion (22b) for receiving an edge of a second shower cubicle panel, and a female connector portion (50) substantially complementarily shaped to receive the male connector portion (42). A sealing element (40) is interposable between the first and second parts (36, 38) for preventing their disengagement.

Abstract: A pumped shower drain system (10) comprises a shower base (12), a waste water unit (14) provided on the shower base (12) and having a waste water inlet (28) and a waste water outlet (30), and a reciprocating water pump (20) for pumping water from the waste water unit (14) to a drain (22). The reciprocating water pump (20) includes: a pump housing (40) having a pump inlet (48) in liquid communication with the waste water outlet (30) of the waste water unit (14), and a pump outlet (50) in liquid communication with the drain (22); first and second inlet valve seals (56, 58) in spaced relationship; and first and second outlet valve seals (84, 86) in spaced relationship. Each set of inlet and outlet valve seals comprise different kinds of valve seals from each other, and are independently closable to close the pump inlet or outlet. Preferably, the inlet valve seals and/or the outlet valve seals have different modes of operation.

  • Patent number: 7975328
Abstract: An upward discharge waste device for a shower tray, comprises a hollow housing having a waste water inlet, a waste water outlet and a flow-channel for waste water between the waste water inlet and the waste water outlet; and a mounting element for mounting the waste device over a waste outlet of the shower tray. The flow-channel has a non-uniform transverse cross-sectional shape along the longitudinal extent from the waste water inlet and towards the waste water outlet, but has a uniform or substantially uniform transverse cross-sectional area along the longitudinal extent. A shower tray having the waste device is also provided.
