  • Publication number: 20080264935
Abstract: A platter for use in a forced air/microwave combination oven, the platter comprising an upper surface and a lower surface and incorporating a plurality of apertures passing through the thickness of the platter; wherein one or both of the surfaces of the platter incorporate a recess substantially surrounding at least one of the apertures. The invention also provides a platter incorporating an indentation shaped to receive an item of cookware, the indentation being positioned to align the cookware with microwave radiation in the oven in use. Additionally, the invention provides a platter incorporating apertures distributed over substantially the entire surface area of the platter, and also a platter comprising a central region substantially devoid of apertures, and one or more apertures at substantially the edge of the platter. Preferably the platter is made of a polymer material, particularly preferably a liquid crystal polymer resin such as DuPont (RTM) Zenite (RTM) 7130.

  • Publication number: 20080223860
Abstract: An article of cookware for use in an oven, wherein the artiste of cookware comprises a base having an upper surface, wherein at least a first region of the upper surface incorporates a plurality of upward protrusions, and wherein the uppermost regions of said protrusions are substantially coplanar for supporting a food product for cooking. Preferably the upper surface between said protrusions is inclined relative to the uppermost regions of said protrusions. A gutter may be provided around at least part of said first region, arranged such that liquid released from a foodstuff during cooking flows into the gutter. • Publication number: 20080003326
Abstract: There is provided a method of improving the nutritional content of marine worms, such as polychaetes, by feeding the worms a diet having a concentration of pigments, polyunsaturated fatty acids, lipids, vitamins and/or minerals sufficient to enhance the level of such components within the tissue of the worms. The worms can then be used for aquaculture, for example in farming marine fish and/or shrimps. One component of particular benefit is astaxanthin, which is preferably present in the polychaete diet of the worms at a concentration of at least 200 ppm. Advantageously the diet fed to the worms will include at least 10% by weight of vegetate oil. Conveniently the worms may be dried by lyophilisation or by refractance window drying before optionally being included or formed into pellets for aquaculture or other (i.e. aquarium) use.

  • Publication number: 20040078434
Abstract: An automated method, system and program product for automated document export control are disclosed. In accordance with the present invention, a user, by entering one or more user inputs into a data processing system, builds and submits an electronic document export request specifying a document for which export authorization is requested, an identity of an export control reviewer, and an indication of an export control policy under which export of the document is permitted. In response to submission of the electronic document export request, the data processing system automatically notifies the export control reviewer of the electronic document export request and permits the export control reviewer to electronically access, review and annotate the electronic document export request.
