Publication number: 20190236576Abstract: Disclosed herein are transaction completions methods and systems. The systems and methods may include receiving, at a computing device comprising a processor, shopper information associated with a shopper; printing a team member receipt and a customer receipt. The team member receipt and the customer receipt each may include a matching code. The systems and methods may further include receiving product information for a plurality of products the shopper wishes to purchase and printing a transaction receipt listing the plurality of products the shopper purchased. The team member receipt may be matched with the customer receipt via the matching code.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2018Publication date: August 1, 2019Inventors: Michael Grant Gibson, John William Crawford

Patent number: 9436523Abstract: Provided are methods of determining success of a software process that includes multiple process operations, ones of which use multiple programs for execution. Such methods may include receiving a request to perform the software process. The request includes a process map that defines the process operations corresponding to the software process and process operation success criteria to determine the success or failure of ones of the process operations. The process operations are scheduled to be performed serial to one another according to the process map. Data corresponding to results of ones of the process operations is collected. Results of the data are evaluated to define whether the ones of the process programs executed successfully based on the process operation success criteria to determine if the software process is a success or a failure.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2013Date of Patent: September 6, 2016Assignee: CA, Inc.Inventors: Grant A Gibson, Eitan Hadar

Patent number: 9170182Abstract: A method of fatigue testing a component comprising the steps of machining a channel of predetermined depth and predetermined width in a surface of a component, applying a salt solution into the channel in the surface of the component and heating the component to a suitable temperature to evaporate the solvent from the salt solution to deposit the salt in the channel in the surface of the component, placing the component in an atmosphere containing air and sulphur dioxide at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined period of time to precondition the grain boundaries, and fatigue testing the component. The method is useful for determining the fatigue life of gas turbine engine discs or gas turbine engine rotor blades particularly the firtree shaped disc posts or the firtree shaped rotor blade roots.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2013Date of Patent: October 27, 2015Assignee: ROLLS-ROYCE PLCInventors: Grant Gibson, Andrew Jonathan Leggett

Patent number: 8285834Abstract: A method for sniffing packets communicated over a network includes identifying an active protocol stack. Upon identifying an active protocol stack, a packet intercept is enabled for the identified active protocol stack. Using the packet intercept, data is then collected about the packets communicated over the network.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2004Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: CA, Inc.Inventors: Grant A. Gibson, Kenneth G. Rubsam

Publication number: 20070221209Abstract: A solar concentrator includes a first reflective surface formed parabolic along a first axis and a second reflective surface formed parabolic along a second axis which is perpendicular to the first axis. The focal length of the second reflective surface is shorter than the focal length of the first reflective surface for crossing focal lines of the first and the second reflective surfaces at a point. A method of concentrating solar light includes reflecting the light off a first reflective surface having a single parabolic axis to generate a first reflected line, and reflecting the first reflected line off a second reflective surface having a single parabolic axis. The parabolic axis of the first reflective surface is oriented perpendicular to the parabolic axis of the second reflective surface to focus the light to a point.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2007Publication date: September 27, 2007Inventors: Jeffrey Neubauer, Grant Gibson
