Publication number: 20230414303Abstract: A robotic surgical tool includes a drive housing, an elongate shaft extending from the drive housing and having an end effector arranged at a distal end of the elongate shaft, and an articulable wrist interposing the end effector and the elongate shaft, the articulable wrist including a plurality of articulation links including at least a first articulation link, a second articulation link, and a third articulation link. The first articulation link is pivotably coupled to the second articulation link at a first coupling interface, the second articulation link is pivotably coupled to the third articulation link at a second coupling interface, and the first and third articulation links are pivotably coupled at a third coupling interface. The third coupling interface axially interposes the first and second coupling interfaces along a longitudinal length of the articulable wrist.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2022Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Seth Daniel HOLDMEYER, Grant Wood NAIR

Publication number: 20230414300Abstract: A surgical tool includes an elongate shaft, an end effector arranged at a distal end of the shaft and including opposing jaws, and an articulable wrist interposing the end effector and the shaft and comprising a plurality of articulation links arranged in series along a longitudinal length of the wrist. A closure redirect mechanism includes first and second rigid links arranged proximal to the wrist, first and second transfer mechanisms pivotably mounted to the first and second rigid links, respectively, first and second transfer links interposing the end effector and the wrist, and first and second tension members extending distally from the first and second transfer mechanisms, respectively, and being secured to the first and second transfer links, respectively. Moving the first rigid link relative to the second rigid link, and vice versa, causes the first and second transfer links to correspondingly move and thereby open or close the jaws.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2022Publication date: December 28, 2023Applicant: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Seth Daniel HOLDMEYER, Jeffrey L. CLARK, Eric William BRUNNER, Maria LUPP, Jalen Lee WIZE, Grant Wood NAIR

Publication number: 20230202122Abstract: A glue pen including a housing, a heater element, and a feed mechanism. The housing is configured to support a meltable adhesive substance. The heater element is disposed in the housing. The feed mechanism is coupled to the housing. The feed mechanism includes a first actuator and a second actuator. Each of the first actuator and the second actuator is selectively movable relative to the other actuator to move the meltable adhesive substance toward the heater element.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 15, 2022Publication date: June 29, 2023Inventors: Todd Snyder, Grant A. Wood, Gabriel J. Sandoval, Neil Wright, Ho Quynh Chau Duong, Brianna E. Williams

Publication number: 20210131684Abstract: A system that provides effective and efficient introduction of water droplets into an air flow. The water droplets are sufficiently small so as to evaporate primarily before leaving the mixing enclosure where the droplets are injected by spray nozzles. Large droplets are kept to a minimum, thus reducing condensation and water accumulation to a very small amount. An amount of water usage is significantly less than that of a conventional evaporative humidifier of the same capacity. The present system may be placed in an enclosure that can readily replace other conventional evaporative humidifiers in enclosures. The present enclosure and system may be installed in lieu of a conventional enclosure and evaporative humidifier with minimal effort. The present enclosure has features that facilitate droplet to air mixing, viewing, humidification, and testing. In permissible situations, the present system may replace a conventional system but retain the conventional enclosure.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 12, 2021Publication date: May 6, 2021Inventors: Andrzej Peczalski, Grant Wood, Jason L. Ableitner, Lauren Seymour, Brad A. Terlson, Thomas M. Rezachek, Alex Gu, Charles N. Hoff, Andrew Smith, Chris Ohlsen, Adam D. McBrady
