  • Publication number: 20240133308
Abstract: A rotary machine, such as a turbomachine of a gas turbine engine, for example, including a rotor and a rotor seal assembly. The rotor is rotatable about a rotational axis and has a rotor seal face. The rotor seal assembly includes a seal body, one or more primary fluid conduits formed in the seal body, and a retraction assembly. The seal body has a seal face and is positionable to form a fluid-bearing gap between the seal face of the seal body and the rotor seal face. The one or more primary fluid conduits are fluidly connected to the fluid-bearing gap to supply a fluid to the fluid-bearing gap. The retraction assembly is connected to the seal body to move the seal body in a retraction direction away from the rotor seal face.

  • Publication number: 20240127544
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for virtual space insertion is provided. The computer-implemented method includes receiving first and second user inputs from users regarding user information and regarding a virtual space targeted for entry by each of the users, respectively, obtaining spatial and occupancy information of the virtual space, determining insertion point requirements for the entry of each of the users into the virtual space from the first user inputs, generating a self-similar geometric insertion point pattern compatible with the insertion point requirements to a first threshold and with the spatial and occupancy information to a second threshold and mapping an insertion point for the entry of each of the users into the virtual space to the self-similar geometric insertion point pattern.

  • Patent number: 11775419
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for testing a software application. User interactions with the functional and non-functional aspects of software applications are monitored. User experience profiles are then generated for the monitored users based on the monitored interactions. The best user experiences in connection with interacting with specific functional and non-functional aspects of the software applications are then identified based on the generated user experience profiles. Virtual users having different types of best user experiences in connection with interacting with different functional and non-functional aspects of the software applications are created. The software application is then tested using the virtual users to determine if the functional and non-functional aspects of the software application satisfy the best user experiences associated with the virtual users.

  • Patent number: 11660512
Abstract: A method of making a ball bat may include forming a bat frame with a handle and an inner barrel structure, providing spacer elements extending radially outwardly from the inner barrel structure, and forming a barrel shell having a main barrel and a tapered section. An inner diameter in the tapered section may be equal to an outer diameter of a first one of the spacer elements. The method may include mechanically locking the barrel shell to the bat frame by passing the handle through the barrel shell and moving the barrel shell toward the inner barrel structure until the barrel shell contacts the first one of the spacer elements. A gap is maintained between an outer diameter of the inner barrel structure and the barrel shell. The barrel shell may deflect during a hit to create a trampoline effect, while the inner barrel structure limits the deflection.

  • Patent number: 10838585
Abstract: A system configured to determine interactive elements for non-traditional computing devices is disclosed. The system receives a portion of a webpage with a first interactive element and an element identifier. The system determines that a threshold number of interactive actions are associated with a second interactive element in a data store. The threshold number of interactive actions indicates that the second interactive element is selectable to perform an action in response to an interaction by a user. The system determines that the first interactive element is similar to the second interactive element by a similarity measure. The system provides to a computer, a selectable option associated with the element identifier of the first interactive element. The selectable option is for selection by an indirect input to the computer and for causing the action associated with the first interactive element upon the selection of the selectable option.
