Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for permitting nodes of a federated system to quickly and efficiently evaluate themselves for compliance or non-compliance with a set of requirements and detection of vulnerabilities. Both hardware and software configurations may be rapidly evaluated in real-time, using a multi-dimensional bit array, by hashing a configuration and using the value as a look-up index in a peer-to-peer distributed ledger. Speed is provided by the distributed process in which the nodes evaluate themselves, and scalability is achieved because the look-up speed is largely independent of increases in size and complexity. Blockchain technology ensures trustworthy data and stores allowable configurations according to hash values, and secure validated means of communication are leveraged to share results and updates.
