Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for puncturing a tissue wall (e.g., a tissue wall of a cancerous cyst) and removing fluids from the tissue without outward spillage of contents in vivo. In illustrative embodiments, the invention comprises the use of an apparatus disclosed herein including the steps of fixing an outer housing of the apparatus to the tissue wall with an adhesive, puncturing the tissue wall from within the outer housing so that any spillage is contained while reinforcing fixation to the tissue wall with a reinforcing element such as a balloon. In this way, the apparatuses and methods disclosed herein allow for spillage free tissue puncture and fluid collection.
