The ergonomic module has side surfaces which angle at the same angle as side edges of the flange to permit the measuring device to be supported on the side surfaces during use. A magnet may be encapsulated in the ergonomic module for supporting the measuring device when not in use. A thumb depression is formed in the ergonomic module to facilitate use by the user.

Abstract: The invention provides novel isomers of dihydrotetrabenazine, individual enantiomers and mixtures thereof wherein the dihydrotetrabenazine is a 3,11 b-cis-dihydrotetrabenazine. Abstract: When data, such as tool data, is commonly accessible, there is a danger that concurrent user processes will make overlapping modifications and leave the data in an incomplete or incomprehensible state. The invention provides a locking mechanism to guard against this. The lock objects are maintained in pool or repository. Two types of lock objects are provided; shareable locks that may be shared by many user processes and permit only read access to the locked data, and exclusive locks, useable by only one user process at a time, that permit the owning process to modify the locked data.

Abstract: A process for performing an enzyme-catalyzed reaction in a reaction mixture comprising two phases, a first aqueous phase containing an enzyme which is not accessible and a second substantially non-aqueous phase containing a non-water miscible solvent wherein a compound derived from fluorescein or a substituted fluorescein is present for the purpose of measuring aqueous pH by monitoring spectroscopic properties. Abstract: A horse racing game and an apparatus including playing cards, dice members, play money and recorded sound for the play of the field are disclosed. The playing cards are marked to identify the race contestants and are dealt to the players. The play money is used by the players to bet on the race contestants. The dice are thrown to provide a random selection of a sound track of the recorded sound. The sound tracks have prerecorded thereon accounts of races between the race contestants and the accounts have different finishing orders among the contestants. Preferably, the sound tracks are in the form of magnetic tape cassettes and each throw of the dice results in the selection of a selected side of a selected cassette.
