  • Publication number: 20220048181
Abstract: A drill bit cooling system is provided. After drilling use, the drill tip of a drill bit reaches higher temperatures than a shank or flute of the drill bit. Compartments are provided that are sized in length and width (diameter) to accommodate the drill bit and a cover or back plate with an increased melting temperature facilitates the storage of hot drill tip. By using different components to construct the drill bit holder, a lightweight and versatile cooling system permits the drill bit to be rapidly interchanged on a power tool or drill, without melting through the storage device. This helps the operator interchange drill bits while working on a workpiece without waiting for each drill bit to cool prior to storing and replacing the drill bit.

  • Patent number: 11211758
Abstract: A hand tool includes a body having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, a first reversible tool removably coupled to the first end, and a second reversible tool removably coupled to the second end. A first pick extends from the first reversible tool, and a second pick extends from the first reversible tool opposite the first pick. A first screwdriver bit extends from the second reversible tool, and a second screwdriver bit extends from the second reversible tool opposite the first screwdriver bit. The hand tool also includes a cap removably coupled to the body at the first end or the second end. The body is configured to resist rolling.

  • Publication number: 20210252672
Abstract: A hand tool and a wire stripper. The hand tool may include a first jaw portion and a second jaw portion having a spring constant more than about 2,225 lbs./in., measured when a force is applied in a direction parallel to the pivot axis to an associated jaw tip with a pivot member being held. The hand tool may include a jaw portion having a gripping surface and an angled wall connected to a side wall and defining a wire stripping portion, the wire stripping portion including a cutting edge and a recess defined in the angled wall, the recess extending from the cutting edge to an end at the one of the side walls, the angled wall being arranged non-parallel to the gripping surface and non-perpendicular to the side wall. The wire stripper may be a forged wire stripper including jaws defining a stripping aperture for Romex® NM wire.

  • Publication number: 20210219641
Abstract: A glove including a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and the bottom surface is configured to interface with an object being gripped by a user. The glove also includes an index finger portion configured to receive an index finger of the user. The index finger portion includes a knuckle configured to pivot about an axis. The glove further includes a gripping portion coupled to the index finger portion between the top and bottom surfaces. The gripping portion includes a first notch adjacent the top surface and a second notch adjacent the bottom surface. The first notch defines a first angle, and the second notch defines a second angle, wherein the first angle increases and the second angle decreases as the knuckle pivots about the axis.

  • Publication number: 20210213590
Abstract: A screwdriver includes a main body and a switch. The main body is coupled to a handle and includes a pair of parallel, spaced apart slots, and a pawl positioned in each slot. Each pawl is biased outwardly by a spring. The switch is pivotable relative to the main body, and the switch includes a groove extending along an arcuate portion of an inner surface. Pivoting the switch in a first direction moves the switch toward a first position in which the groove is positioned in-line with the first pawl. When the switch is in the first position, the first pawl extends outwardly from the slot and engages the internal tooth surface such that application of a torque in a first direction drives a shank in the first direction and application of a torque in the second direction causes the shank to ratchet relative to the main body.
