Abstract: The present disclosure provides computing systems and methods for critical event detection and response, including event monitoring, asset intelligence, and/or mass notifications. As examples, the critical event intelligence platform described herein can be used for security, travel, logistics, finance, intelligence, and/or insurance teams responsible for business continuity, physical safety, duty of care, and/or other operational tasks. The proposed critical event intelligence platform provides users with the speed, coverage and actionability needed to respond effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic critical event environment.

Abstract: A system and method (referred to as the system) render treatment plans through virtual rehabilitation by executing, a physical assessment that captures a full volume of motion of an uninjured appendage or a comparable standard. The process generates a recovery path, care plan, a challenge zone for an injured appendage based on the volume of motion of the uninjured appendage and initiates a virtual therapeutic session that renders simulated virtual environments in that causes the user to exercise the injured appendage within the challenge zone. The process analyzes the user's virtual therapeutic session performance by comparing a user's volume of motion capacity to the user's full volume of motion.

A business container hosts business components and services to enable communication between the business components. A plurality of infrastructure components expose interfaces and methods to the business components, wherein the exposed interfaces and methods have names descriptive of a business domain for which the business applications are written. The infrastructure components implementation of the interfaces and methods exposed to the business components include calls to the middleware application programming interfaces (APIs) to invoke middleware APIs to cause middleware operations.

Abstract: A new and improved apparatus is disclosed for enclosing Romex wire (standard electrical wire) in an inline connection. The apparatus is composed of two attached box-like portions which are pivotally mounted to one another. On each end of each box-like portion, a tab is present which can be removed in order to allow for a Romex wire to flow through the box when the box would be snapped shut. The box is designed to enclose the wire nuts of any electrical connection in order to improve fire safety requirements for standard electrical wire. One of the box-like portions has an externally mounted tab which would allow the present invention to be mounted on a standard “2 by 4” beam.

Abstract: A travel service system and related methods provide a unified and consistent Graphical User Interface (GUI) to travel counselors regardless of the General Distribution System that maintains travel related services and reservations. The system is capable of interfacing with multiple air, car and hotel reservation systems. In addition, the system maintains traveler profiles that include data indicating a traveler's preferences, biographical data, and preferred payment information. Furthermore, the system maintains data regarding a client's travel policies and contracts with various travel service suppliers such as airlines, hotels, and car rental agencies. The data from these various sources can be used to provide default information for various fields in the interface, and to search for and provide travel services that are consistent with the client's travel policies.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for storing compressed bit map images in a laser printer. Bit map images representing a page of data are divided into bands and compressed into the printer memory. Then, when needed by the interpreter/rasterizer, they are decompressed into another portion of that memory, or when desired to print those bands they are directly transmitted to a decompression engine. The bands of bit map image are compressed using a Lempel-Ziv algorithm that contains improvements allowing compression towards the end of the band and improves the compression speed at the beginning of the band by initializing a hash table. Further, the interpreter/rasterizer switches between compression routines depending on the available memory and the desired speed of compression. The compression routine requests supplemental destination buffers when it needs additional memory in which to compress data.
