Abstract: A system for securing a cover on an electrical box is provided having an electrical box, an electrical box cover, the electrical box having at least two screw receptors, the electrical box cover having at least two screw pass-throughs, the at least two screw receptors corresponding to the at least two screw pass-throughs, such that a screw inserted in one of the screw pass-throughs may be secured in the screw receptor to hold the electrical box and electrical box cover together, the electrical box having a first temporary connector, the electrical box cover having a second temporary connector, and the first temporary connector and the second temporary connector corresponding to one another such that the electrical box and the electrical box cover are held together while screws are inserted into the at least one screw pass-throughs and screw receptors.

Abstract: In a method and system for automated real estate information and offers, a prospective buyer of real property points a camera of a mobile device at the property. An application on the mobile device retrieves information pertinent to the property from a remote database, based on a geographic location of the property and automatic image recognition of one or more written characters displayed on or near the property. A form in the application takes terms for a prospective offer to purchase the property. The application transmits the offer to be displayed as an advertisement on one or more of the property owner's devices. The application permits prospective buyer and prospective seller to identify, negotiate with, and select real estate service providers including agents, brokers, title companies, escrow companies, and inspectors, each of whom may upload and download documents and information through the application.

Abstract: The utilization is described of an automatically generated Internet protocol (“IP”) address in a networked environment. An IP address is automatically generated and used while an IP address server is unavailable or unreliable. The system used either the automatically generated IP address or the assigned address depending on certain circumstances. For example, if the IP address server repeatedly assigns conflicting IP address, the system continues to use the generated IP address despite having received an assigned IP address from the IP address server. Also, if the communication is within a common local area network, the generated IP address is used so as to avoid encryption of the communication in accordance with TCP/IP protocol.

Abstract: A method and computer product for automatically generating an IP network address that facilitates simplified network connection and administration for small-scale IP networks without IP address servers, such as those found in a small business or home network environment. First, a proposed IP address is generated by selecting a network identifying portion (sometimes known as an IP network prefix) while deterministically generating the host identifying portion based on information available to the IP host. For example, the IEEE 802 Ethernet address found in the network interface card may be used with a deterministic hashing function to generate the host identifying portion of the IP address. Next, the generated IP address is tested on the network to assure that no existing IP host is using that particular IP address. If the generated IP address already exists, then a new IP address is generated, otherwise, the IP host will use the generated IP address to communicate over the network.
