The communications device includes a radio transceiver for transmitting and receiving radio transmissions, a radio frequency channel selector for selecting a desired radio frequency channel upon which to transmit and receive radio transmissions, and a crew isolation toggle, integral to the communication device, for disabling generation of audio transmission from selected members of the radio frequency channel to the radio frequency channel while still enabling the selected members to receive audio transmission.

The communications device includes an audio head unit for generating audio from an audio source, an intercom system for receiving and broadcasting intercom audio over a channel already used for the source audio thereby creating a combined audio, a plurality of headsets to generate playback audio, and where the source audio is temporarily lowered within the combined audio during broadcast of the intercom audio.

The push-to-talk lock toggle is integral to the communication device, and disables capture and transmission of audio and disabling engagement of the push-to-talk toggle while the push-to-talk lock toggle is enabled.

Abstract: There is disclosed universal pumper skirt for use with a helmet. The universal pumper skirt is composed of a coif wrapping around a wearer's neck and connected to a helmet. The coif includes an air connection input port on the coif. A wearer can use an air flow unit to pump air through the input port, creating positive air pressure in the coif and helmet that cool the wearer and reduce the intrusion of dust into the helmet. The coif may be removably attached to a motorcycle or motorsport helmet, therefore, a wearer can remove the universal pumper skirt from a helmet or transfer it to a different helmet.

Abstract: A protective, waterproof cover for a standard Nexus type U-174 audio connector that has an outer cover on a male plug that seals over an outer surface of a female type U-92 A/U jack. The cover has an over jacket mold to cover and protect the jack at the connection. In addition the cover has a silicone O-ring at a base of the plug.
