  • Patent number: 9183355
Abstract: A method and system for analyzing and retrieving breast tissue abnormality tracking data, providing a tool for a radiologist that includes a report summarizing the statistical frequency of diagnosed patients, both locally and nationally, with breast tissue region-of-interest classifications similar to the breast tissue images taken of the anatomy of an individual patient. In one embodiment, a computer aided diagnostic program can be tested or verified against the breast tissue images and the region-of-interest classifications that have been validated by definitive patient diagnosis. Another embodiment allows the efficient collection of all of the breast tissue abnormalities for a given medical facility in order to provide trending data or radiologist performance analysis. In yet another embodiment, the region-of-interest abnormalities in a single location in a patient's tissue are correlated across a variety of imaging modalities including X-rays, mammogram, CT, ultrasound, MRI, or other imaging technologies.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9171130
Abstract: A system and method for analyzing and retrieving images of breast tissue abnormalities obtained from multiple sources. Providing a tool for a radiologist that includes a convenient region-of-interest association of mammogram, or other anatomical images, of an individual patient. One embodiment provides an efficient collection of all of the mammogram abnormalities for a patient. In yet another embodiment, the region-of-interest abnormalities in a single location in a patient's tissue are correlated across a variety of imaging modalities including X-rays, mammogram, CT, ultrasound, MRI, or other imaging technologies.

  • Publication number: 20050031177
Abstract: An automated computer-assisted diagnosis (CAD) system, and, in particular, a CAD method using a self-contained apparatus that minimizes and streamlines the installation, use and exploitation of the CAD procedure as applied to, e.g., breast cancer detection. The apparatus and method for CAD application as disclosed herein minimizes or avoids site preparation, occupies minimal space and avoids the more complex and maintenance intensive CAD systems currently available to the market.

  • Publication number: 20030110178
Abstract: A method and system for tracking medical images and associated digital images for diagnostic evaluation. The system includes a scanner for digitizing one or more medical images defining a case to thereby produce one or more digitized medical images and for reading a machine-readable tracking identifier attached to each medical image of the case. A server associates the tracking identifier with one or more digitized medical images and one or more computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) images, wherein the one or more CAD images correspond to the one or more digitized medical images that are processed using a CAD algorithm. The system stores the associated tracking identifier, the one or more digitized medical images, and the one or more CAD images in a storage device. The server receives and processes a medical image request including the tracking identifier to retrieve at least one of the one or more digitized medical images or the one or more CAD images from the storage device using the tracking identifier.
