Abstract: Graphical presentation of data responds to changes in the range of a value in the data set being graphed by dynamically changing the range on the axis by which the value is represented. As the range of a value changes over time (increasing or decreasing), the range of the axis and its endpoints also dynamically change and the data displayed is redrawn. The granularity of the scale is also dynamically adjusted as the range changes, affecting the legend on the graph and/or the reference lines drawn on the graph, however, the granularity changes only as needed, and so the legend and reference lines allow the viewer to understand the dynamic changes in the scale of the graph.
