  • Patent number: 11662529
Abstract: A multi-fiber, fiber optic connector is provided having a housing having a first end for receiving a multi-fiber fiber optic cable and a second end having openings for the fibers from the cable. First and second keys for setting the polarity of the fibers within the connector located on opposing sides of the connector. The connector has either one of guide pins or guide pin receiving holes for guiding the connection with a second connector. The keys are movable between a first active position and a second retracted position, such that when one of the keys is in the first active position, the fibers are presented within the connector in a first polarity and when the second key is in the first active position, the fibers are presented within the connector in a second polarity reversed from the first polarity.

  • Patent number: 11256038
Abstract: In a mateable pair of MPO connectors, a first connector has a first key structure and a second key structure, each of which is moveable between a first position and a second position thereof. When the first key structure is in the first position, the second key structure is in the second position and vice versa. The second connector similarly has a first key structure and a second key structure, each moveable between a first position and a second position thereof, and when the first key structure is in the first position, the second key structure is in the second position and vice versa. A polarity of at least one of the first connector and the second connector is reversible without disassembly thereof.

  • Publication number: 20150318075
Abstract: A cross filler for arrangement within a LAN cable has a plurality of twisted pair conductors. The filler has a body and a plurality of radially extending arms, where each of the arms has a plurality of alternating supports and cavities along the surface of the arms. At least one of the radially extending arms is disposed within the LAN cable between at least two of the twisted pairs of the plurality of twisted pairs. The at least one of the radially extending arms is dimensioned such that when the cross filler is positioned with the cable, the at least two of the twisted pairs of the plurality of twisted pairs, on either side of the radially extending arm therebetween, rests on at least one of the supports on the radially extending arm.

  • Patent number: 8895858
Abstract: A cable is provided containing one or more polymeric elements for reduction of crosstalk. The cable includes a plurality of unshielded twisted pairs, each of which is an insulated conductor pair twisted around one another, each having a different lay length. A jacket encloses the plurality of unshielded twisted pairs, where an unshielded twisted pair, has the longest lay length among the plurality of unshielded twisted pairs is positioned within the center of the jacket such that an axis of the twisted pairs that has the longest lay length substantially coincides with the central longitudinal axis of the cable. A plurality of bumper elements are disposed within the jacket in the interstices between said plurality of unshielded twisted pairs, where the bumper elements are profiled polymer structures.
