  • Publication number: 20180261288
Abstract: A loop memory cell (LMC) includes a minimum of one optical loop coupled by a minimum of one input armlet and on output armlet. The input armlet(s) can couple only in one direction, from the input armlet(s) into the optical loop, and not back. The output armlet(s) can couple or not, according to the refractive index changer, from the optical loop into the output armlet(s). The LMC is configured to collect the input data and store the date in the optical loop until needed. Changing the refractive index the LMC can act as a memory cell or modulator. The LMC overcomes the energy loss of conventional techniques, allowing the creation of variety of building blocks and complex processing blocks for different applications and algorithms. The LMC has increased information storing efficiency, increased data processing speeds, and can modulate data thereby reducing processing complexity and increasing speeds.

  • Publication number: 20170227977
Abstract: An assembly, method, apparatus, and system for supplying power to security, life safety, information technology, and/or automation system components is disclosed. Some embodiments may include a power supply with a projecting terminal and a cable having a first end with an electrical contact surface for contacting a power transmitting surface of the projecting terminal to establish an electrical connection, so that a first end housing portion surrounds the electrical contact surface and at least partially covers the projecting terminal. The electrical contact surface may be adjustable using a spring, which may also assist in maintaining contact with the power transmitting surface located at the projecting terminal distal end. A cable second end may connect with an electronic device, and may be customizable according to the electronic device. Embodiments may also include keying features for ensuring connection with appropriate power supplies.

  • Patent number: 9662058
Abstract: Foley type catheter embodiments for sensing physiologic data from a urinary tract of a patient are disclosed. The system includes the catheter and a data processing apparatus and methods for sensing physiologic data from the urinary tract. Embodiments may also include a pressure sensor having a pressure interface at a distal end of the catheter, a pressure transducer at a proximal end, and a fluid column disposed between the pressure interface and transducer. When the distal end is residing in the bladder, the pressure transducer can transduce pressure impinging on it into a chronological pressure profile, which can be processed by the data processing apparatus into one or more distinct physiologic pressure profiles, for example, peritoneal pressure, respiratory rate, and cardiac rate. At a sufficiently high data-sampling rate, these physiologic data may further include relative pulmonary tidal volume, cardiac output, relative cardiac output, and absolute cardiac stroke volume.

  • Patent number: 9640070
Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) projections of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) signals are acquired from a liver experiencing NMR in response to a 3D multi-echo non-Cartesian pulse sequence. The projections are reconstructed into two sets of images having different resolutions. Bins associated with the different positions to which the liver moves during respiration are identified in lower resolution images, and then higher resolution images are binned into the position dependent bins based on navigator data in the lower resolution images. A combined image for a bin is made from images located in the bin and then registered to a reference image. An overall combined image is made by summing the combined bin images. Quantized data for a contrast agent concentration in the liver is produced using signal intensity in the overall combined image. The quantized value may describe a liver perfusion parameter. A diagnosis may be made from the quantized value.

  • Publication number: 20170042298
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards jewelry products, connected with reusable stickiness (adhesive) to grab and release the body and different surfaces. The present invention also includes different purposes for the gecko jewelry such as a gecko diamond, wristwatch, phones, bandages, electrodes etc. While the gecko's “glue” holds the on the body strongly in one direction, one can easily pull the product out to the other direction. Due to the gecko jewelry, the shape of the product can be changed and not necessarily symmetric. The gecko jewelry can come as a complete new product or the gecko adhesive can be as an add-on a part for an existing jewelry. The present invention also include a jewelry that has reusable adhesive made out of carbon nanotubes mimicking a gecko foot.

  • Publication number: 20160340086
Abstract: The present invention is directed to bottle jars and other storage places corks, connected with reusable stickiness (adhesive) to seal and open the corks without the rotational movement. While the gecko's “glue” holds the bottle corks strongly in one direction, one can easily pull the gecko cork to the other direction and open or close the bottle. Due to the lack of rotational movement to open or close the bottle, the bottle shape can be adjusted for saving in raw materials. This concept is applicable to all types of bottles, jars or other storage space corks. A cork includes a reusable adhesive, for easy sealing and opening of the bottles. The present invention also include a cork that has reusable adhesive made out of carbon nanotubes mimicking a gecko foot.

  • Publication number: 20160296045
Abstract: The present invention is directed to frames of framed products that are hanged, connected with reusable stickiness (adhesive) to hang and rehang on different surfaces. The present invention also includes gecko adhesive on the front of the frame for hanging the products in the gecko frame. While the gecko's “glue” holds the frame strongly in one direction, one can easily pull the gecko frame to the other direction and remove to hang the frame again. Due to the gecko frame no nails needed hence not damaging the wall and no residue leftovers, as well the shape of the frame can be changed and not necessarily symmetric. The present invention also include a frame that has reusable adhesive made out of carbon nanotubes mimicking a gecko foot. realizing a frame hanged on different surfaces without leaving any residue or be hanged by a nail, rather by a special “glue” or any other glue product which doesn't leave residue, reusable, easy to use and doesn't wear off even in dusty or damp conditions.

  • Publication number: 20160236824
Abstract: A bottles/cans/storages (will be referred as bottles) pack includes a reusable adhesive, for easy packing and easy release of the bottles. The present invention also includes a handle to carry the bottles pack and reusable adhesive made out of carbon nanotubes. The handle for easy carry of the pack is connected by reusable adhesive and can be used as a multipurpose handle for easy carrying of different products. The adhesive on the bottle can be used also as a holder, meaning the bottle can be glued and release easily on different surfaces such as glass on the wall or dashboard etc. By using the assembly, packing and releasing will be easier, thus saving energy, raw materials such as plastic and carton can be saved as well. Additionally, the bottles can be stored on any location, on the wall, window etc. thus saving storage location and sort term storage such as on the dashboard.

  • Publication number: 20150219417
Abstract: Interchangeable compound bow accessories comprised of a stabilizer apparatus, vibration reduction apparatus and carrying handle apparatus mechanically fastened to a universal support structure inherent to the accessories that is attached to the center portion of a compound bow riser or compound bow sight support structure. The comprised accessories may be integrated as a multi-functioning device by combining their individual functions into a single component such as a stabilizer apparatus and vibration reduction apparatus combined with a carrying handle apparatus or left as an individual component. The accessories may be easily detached from the universal support structure. The comprised accessories are constructed in such a manner that they may carry or support a compound bow by means of a universal support apparatus constructed specifically for the comprised accessories, by hand, carrying strap, sling, belt, or backpack strap.
