Abstract: A follower device is disclosed which includes a friction surface, a neck, and at least one shelf. The at least one friction surface and the at least one shelf may extend from the neck, and the slot may be adjacent to the neck. The follower may be disposed in a telescoping tube and allow closure or retraction of the telescoping tube automatically by pulling on an inner tube to disengage a button lock, termed an overpull and then collapsing the telescoping tube without interference from the button lock.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a convertible tent hammock. The hammock may include side release buckles which allow the floor of the convertible tent hammock to be separated from the corners of the convertible tent hammock. Further, an exposed ridge pole provides a first structural connection to a support structure. The head and foot of the convertible tent hammock may be cinched together to provide a second structural connection to a support structure.

Abstract: A sleeping bag system with selectively interchangeable insulating baffles. The baffles are configured to be inserted into either or both of an upper layer and a bottom layer of the sleeping bag shell. The shell and baffles have one or more fasteners configured to engage with each other to hold the baffles in place inside the shell during use. The system allows a single sleeping bag to be used in varying ambient temperatures and allows the user to customize the warmth of the bag by adding or removing various insulating baffles from different sections of the shell.

Abstract: A to a temporary protective overhead covering that comprises or is configured as a water collection system. The subject invention can be used to collect water from a variety of sources including, for example, rain, water spray or dew. A filter screen in the form of a mesh barrier used to prevent debris larger than the screen size from entering an associated water collection vessel is also disclosed.
