  • Patent number: 8671394
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring test steps to determine whether the test steps are executable in a test environment are disclosed. The test environment tests various resources, such as programs, data and functions in the electronic devices. The test environment provides a user interface that enables users to edit a sequence of test steps executed in the test environment. The test environment may provide visual representations of the test steps in the sequence of test steps. When the users select a test step in the sequence of test steps, the selected test step is monitored to inform the users whether the selected test step is executable in the test environment. The properties of the selected test step may also be provided and, if the selected test step is not executable in the test environment, users may be informed of the properties that should be specified to make the selected test step executable in the test environment.

  • Patent number: 7610578
Abstract: Methods are provided to automatically generate, distribute and execute code locally and remotely. The test may therefore be performed using the automatically distributed code. Automated parameter mapping may be provided to couple parameters applicable to a test step with the test step. A test step in the test may therefore automatically include the coupled parameters. Data storage may be performed using a multidimensional parametric space. Each point in space may contain arbitrary nonscalar data which define an individual data workspace. These points can also be plotted against each other and overlayed to aid in visualization of multi-dimensional data.

  • Patent number: 7454659
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product is disclosed for conducting a test in a distributed fashion in a test environment. A host or client may define a test for testing units under test to evaluate the parameters and characteristics of the units under test. The host or client can distribute at least a portion of the test to a remote instrument that includes a worker. The worker enables the instrument to perform at least portion of the test defined in the host or client. The instrument conduct the at least a portion of the test and may provide the results of the at least a portion of the test for the host or client. As such, the present invention allows the use of multiple resources on a network to conduct the test in a distributed fashion.
