Patent number: 10011085Abstract: A trifold side seamed film produce bag includes a front wall and a back wall, first and second side edges sealed together and a seamless bag bottom. The bag is joined at the side edges to additional bags by a perforation. The bag is corona treated on at least one wall and promotional material is printed on the treated surface. The bags are folded to one third of their height to fit compact bag roll dispensers. The bags are folded in a Z-fold or C-fold configuration. The method includes manufacturing the bags and winding them onto cores or forming the bags into coreless rolls. An apparatus for forming the side seamed bags includes an extruder, a tubing flattener, a perforator, a sealer, a corona treater, a printer and a slitter. The treated, printed bags may be stored on rolls for later slitting into two bag streams and folding into thirds.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2017Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Inventor: Greg Tan

Patent number: 9517605Abstract: A plastic or other film bag is formed from a continuous extruded tube. The tube is flattened and sealed across its width at intervals to form bag bottoms. The bags are joined to one another at a perforation line and folded in thirds lengthwise prior to being rolled into a compact roll, either with or without supporting core. After folding the bags may be chisel cut through the center of the perforation line to assist in dispensing of the bags. The chisel cut will extend through all layers of the bag when folded, resulting in three chisel cuts in the bag. The bags may be gusseted for part or as much as all of their width. The bags may also be corona treated and printed on their outer surfaces. The bags may be formed from partially recycled materials and various combinations of linear low density, medium and high density polyethylene.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2014Date of Patent: December 13, 2016Inventor: Greg Tan

Patent number: 8317670Abstract: A trifold side seamed plastic produce bag includes a front wall and a taller back wall, first and second side edges sealed together and a seamless bag bottom. The taller back wall provides means for finding the bag opening. The method and apparatus for producing the bags includes a slitter that removes a strip of plastic from only the top layer of the bag stream to form an extended flap on each bag. The method includes manufacturing the bags and winding them onto cores or forming the bags into coreless rolls.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2011Date of Patent: November 27, 2012Inventor: Greg Tan

Publication number: 20100288893Abstract: A suction cup for holding includes a suction cup portion formed of resilient material that has a concave surface and an opposite convex surface. A pole holding assembly is formed of resilient material, has at least one planar surface and is attached to the convex surface such that the planar surface is perpendicular to a plane formed by a perimeter of the concave surface. The assembly has at least one through hole. The through hole is at right angles to the planar surface and is sized and shaped to grip a pole. When the suction cup portion is pressed onto a smooth surface and a pole is positioned within a through hole, the pole is maintained in a position parallel to the smooth surface. The through holes include interior ridges for improved grip. A release arm is attached adjacent an outer edge of the convex surface for suction cup removal.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2009Publication date: November 18, 2010Inventor: Greg Tan
