Patent number: 11412306Abstract: iTV content is created and deployed using a server component adapted to allow content developers to create applications according to an authoring specification that describes a framework for same; a transport component configured to optimize and deliver the applications to one or more clients; and a client component adapted to render the applications through a television so as to permit user interaction therewith. The authoring specification provides for the presentation of content through one or more templates defined therein, allowing application definition and behavior to remain common across multiple client device types, middleware platforms, and/or iTV operating environments.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2015Date of Patent: August 9, 2022Assignee: Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLCInventors: John Carney, David de Andrade, Sithampara Babu Niranjan, David Brandyberry, Leon Franzen, Lena Chane, Matt Marenghi, Prakash Hedge, Alex Chung, Viva Chu, Greg Thomson, Ruth Dawson

Publication number: 20200356228Abstract: Computing devices, computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions, methods, and systems for discovering, organizing, and presenting supplemental content are disclosed. A discovery system may be used to discover an item, such as a supplemental content presentation application, which, when launched may present supplemental content to a user while the user is consuming primary content. The supplemental content presentation application may also present a timeline that users may interact with to view different portions of the supplemental content. The timeline may also be modified by adding markers along the timeline so that when a marker is selected, a particular piece of supplemental content is presented.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 17, 2020Publication date: November 12, 2020Inventors: John Carney, Greg Thomson, Don Ahrens, Justin Gravante, Andrew Evans, Jill Mclaughlin

Patent number: 10807812Abstract: A grain cart is provided having a storage hopper for holding crop material, load cells positioned on the grain cart to measure a weight of crop material in the grain cart and an indicator connected to the load cells. The indicator can be operative to receive signals from the load cells indicating the weight measured by the load cells and to send an electrical signal on an output connection in response to a predetermined weight of crop material being removed from the grain cart. The output connection can be electrically connected to a close gate conductor wire that is operatively connected to the gate actuator, so an electrical signal generated by the indicator on the output connection of the indicator causes the gate actuator to close gates in the storage hopper stopping crop material from being discharged from the storage hopper.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2019Date of Patent: October 20, 2020Assignee: Brandt Industries Canada Ltd.Inventors: Greg Thomson, Josh Dumalski

Patent number: 10377290Abstract: A grain cart is provided that automatically rotates a spout of an auger assembly out of the way of a storage hopper when the auger assembly is folded into a transport position. The grain cart can include a storage hopper and an auger assembly to discharge particulate material from the storage hopper out of the grain cart. The auger assembly has a lower auger section and an upper auger section. A discharge assembly is pivotally attached to a discharge end of the upper auger section. To put the auger assembly in the transport assembly, the upper auger section is pivoted adjacent to the lower auger section. A cross-over electrical connection electrically connects a fold electrical connection and a pivot electrical connection, to cause the discharge assembly and spout to be pivoted towards a front of a grain cart when the auger assembly is folded into the transport position.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2017Date of Patent: August 13, 2019Assignee: Brandt Agricultural Products Ltd.Inventors: Mitch Stilborn, Greg Thomson

Patent number: 10300752Abstract: A road/rail vehicle has front and rear road wheels, an engine driving the rear road wheels, and an indicator of actual vehicle speed. Retractable front and rear rail wheels are mounted on the vehicle and movable from a raised road position for operation in a road mode to a lowered rail position where the rail wheels engage rails of a railroad track for operation in a rail mode. A suspension system is adjustable in the rail mode to vary a weight proportion of vehicle weight that is a tractive weight carried by the rear road wheels and a guidance weight carried by the rear rail wheels, and a suspension control is adjusts the suspension system to provide a selected weight proportion. A maximum allowable vehicle speed decreases as the tractive weight increases and a maximum speed indicator shows the maximum allowable vehicle speed for the selected weight proportion.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2013Date of Patent: May 28, 2019Assignee: Bandt Road Rail CorporationInventors: Josh Dumalski, Dan Bonnet, Greg Thomson, Kyle Lockert

Patent number: 9615061Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for the dynamic creation and presentation of user-specified VOD content consisting of multiple VOD clips as a passive viewing experience. For one embodiment, a user selects a set of VOD clips from a list or other selection presentation and the selected VOD clips are presented back-to-back. For one embodiment of the invention, the user may reorder the presentation sequence of the selected VOD clips. Embodiments of the invention thereby allow a user to dynamically create and present a user-specific, passive viewing presentation.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2003Date of Patent: April 4, 2017Assignee: TVWorks, LLCInventors: John Carney, Greg Thomson, David de Andrade, Matt Marenghi, Samuel Moreau, Elliot Poger
