  • Publication number: 20230292652
Abstract: A meter apparatus for dispensing agricultural products into a product conduit carrying a product air stream at a product air pressure. A sealed tank is pressurized to a tank pressure that is substantially equal to the product air pressure, and a meter roller mounted on a shaft is mounted in a housing below the sealed tank. A drive is operative to rotate the shaft and the meter roller. Clearance spaces are provided each side of the meter roller. Bearings mount the shaft to the housing, and seals are mounted to the shaft and to the housing between the right and left bearings and the meter roller. The housing defines right and left chambers between the seals and the meter roller. The purging conduit carries a purging air stream at a purging air pressure that is greater than the product air pressure into the chambers, and through the clearance space.

  • Patent number: 9578800
Abstract: An air seeder distribution apparatus has seed and fertilizer tanks, and a like plurality of metering devices mounted on each product tank. A manifold set comprises a like plurality of product manifolds and each manifold is separately fed from one metering device on each of the seed and fertilizer tanks. A control selectively starts and stops rotation of the feed roller of each metering device to feed product from either tank, or both tanks to the connected manifold. The weight of each tank can be displayed on a weight indicator. Balancing of the pressure in each supply conduit can be provided. A remote opener exerts downward force on the tank lid to maintain interior pressure.

  • Patent number: 9327906
Abstract: A conveyor apparatus has a pivot frame pivotally mounted to a lower portion thereof and an actuator that pivot the pivot frame from a rear frame transport position to a forward frame operating position. A feed conveyor has a rear discharge end movably attached to an upper frame portion of the pivot frame such that the rear discharge end of the feed conveyor is above the main conveyor. The feed discharge is above the main intake and the feed conveyor extends away from the main intake and the front intake end of the feed conveyor is movable laterally when the pivot frame and feed conveyor are in the operating position, and the feed conveyor is above the main conveyor when the pivot frame and feed conveyor are in the transport position. A hopper on the feed conveyor intake has flexible panels that fold down when in the transport position.

  • Publication number: 20150098767
Abstract: A manifold apparatus for an air seeder has output ports spaced around a lower portion of the sidewall A vertically oriented input conduit extends upward through an input port defined in the bottom of the manifold into an upper portion of the manifold interior. A plurality of substantially vertical channels each extend downward from an inner top wall surface to one of the outlet ports and has an entrance opening at a top end thereof. The upper portion of the manifold interior is configured such that an air stream carrying entrained agricultural products passing out an open top end of the input conduit contacts the top wall and is directed outward into the entrance openings, and such that a substantially equal portion of the air stream and agricultural products flows into each entrance opening. Blunt edged pulsating rings can distribute agricultural products evenly across the input conduit.
