The exemplary method may obtain a service ticket from a key distribution center of the key distribution center authentication process and generate a random key. A port between the client and the service may be created and utilized to transmit the service ticket and the random key to a service from the client. The random key may replace a password provided by the user. The random key in the password field of the service logon is transmitted to the service. The service authenticates the random key in the password field with the stored random key in the cache of the service. Once authenticated the service ticket is validated.
