  • Patent number: 11699851
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a phase array radar to generate fan beams with curve of constant phase with spoiling in u and/or v space. In embodiments, beam pattern weighting is phase-only and applicable to transmit and receive. In embodiments, the beam pattern accounts for the apparent curvature of the horizon in uv space.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 18, 2019
Date of Patent: July 11, 2023
    Assignee: Raytheon Company
    Inventor: Gregg D. Ouderkirk
  • Patent number: 11156706
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods for detecting and tracking a possible threat object using a multi-static frequency diverse waveform. An example method includes receiving an indication of a possible threat object and provisioning a multi-static cluster of sensors. A set of pulses are transmitted toward the object such that each pulse is transmitted on a unique frequency and at different time slots. A set of reflected pulses are processed to detect and track the object.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 11, 2018
Date of Patent: October 26, 2021
    Assignee: Raytheon Company
