Patent number: 11786910Abstract: A meat grinder safety cover attachment for a meat grinder grinding head that prevents an operator of the meat grinder from entering hand or fingers into the inlet throat of the grinder where a turning auger starts the grinding of meat. The grinder safety cover has two functional states: a normally closed state and an actuated open state. Moving from the normally closed state to the actuated open state is initiated by applying a linear force by depressing a slide plunger pin that engages the slide covers covering the grinder head inlet throat. The slide plunger pin and slide covers are configured to convert the linear motion of the slide plunger pin to rotational motion of the slide covers, opening the slide covers and uncovering the inlet throat of the grinder head. Removing the depression force on the slide plunger pin, the torsion spring attached to the slide covers and a return spring in the slide plunger pin then return the safety cover to its normally closed position.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2022Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: BLUE SKY INNOVATION GROUP, INC.Inventors: Gregg M. Kloeppel, Dale J. Zidan

Patent number: 9910211Abstract: A backlit system comprises a base panel, a plurality of keys disposed on the base panel, a substantially planar light guide panel disposed between the base panel and the plurality of keys, at least one light source disposed on the light guide panel, and at least one light management feature disposed on the light guide panel. The at least one light management feature is configured to at least partially reflect incident light within the light guide panel.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2013Date of Patent: March 6, 2018Assignee: LUMITEX, INC.Inventors: Gregg M Kloeppel, David Larson, Peter Broer

Patent number: 9677722Abstract: Lighting assembly comprises an optical fiber light guide panel member having a light conducting core cladded on opposite sides by cladding made of optically transparent material having a lower index of refraction than the light conducting core to cause total internal reflection of conducted light within the light conducting core at the core-cladding interface. Disruptions at one or more areas of the cladding cause conducted light within the light conducting core to be emitted from one or more areas of the panel member. Electrical circuitry is bonded to one or both sides of the cladding. One or more LEDs embedded in the panel member are in electrical conduct with the electrical circuitry and optically coupled to the light conducting core.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2012Date of Patent: June 13, 2017Assignee: LUMITEX, INC.Inventors: Peter W. Broer, Gregg M. Kloeppel, Michael D. Andrich, Mark Cartellone, Brian M. Spahnie

Patent number: 8769763Abstract: A floor cleaning device includes a base. A cleaning fluid supply tank is carried by the base. A source of pressure communicates with the cleaning fluid supply tank which pressurizes a cleaning fluid held in the cleaning fluid supply tank to an above atmospheric pressure. A fluid delivery system delivers pressurized cleaning fluid from the cleaning fluid supply tank to a surface to be cleaned.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2006Date of Patent: July 8, 2014Assignee: Techtronic Floor Care Technology LimitedInventors: Gregg M. Kloeppel, Mark Ilko, Andrew A. Amberik, Allan L. Horst, Glenn Matusz

Publication number: 20140022812Abstract: A display front lighting device comprises an optically transmissive sheet member that provides reflective means to evenly distribute light for the illumination of the text and/or graphics of display modules while permitting the text and/or graphics to visibly pass through the sheet member for viewing. The transmissive sheet member has LEDs offset mounted at an angle relative to one side of the sheet member such that a portion of the light emitted by the LEDs is reflected by the one side onto the adjacent dis play. The LEDs are mounted on a flexible printed circuit board, or alternatively on the conductive traces bonded to the sheet member.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2012Publication date: January 23, 2014Applicant: LUMITEX, INC.Inventors: Michael D. Andrich, Peter W. Broer, Gregg M. Kloeppel

Patent number: 8574179Abstract: A biomechanical stimulation device is presented. The biomechanical stimulation device comprises a base that supports an adjustable height arm and an easily removable drum connected to the arm. The drum is driven by a motor to provide an elliptical stimulation motion. An anti-rotation device prevents rotation, but allows orbital translation of drum. The drum may connect to the arm at a single attachment point. The arm 20 may be pivotally attached to the base and selectively movable to a desired position. A pair of struts may support the arm to assist in positioning the arm. The struts may be locked to prevent movement of the arm, or unlocked by a release button to allow selective positioning of the arm. The biomechanical stimulation device may further include a hand controller and other peripheral devices to provides a convenient interface for controlling the speed and run time of the biomechanical stimulation device.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2010Date of Patent: November 5, 2013Assignee: STP Swiss Therapeutic Products AGInventors: Eric J.
