  • Publication number: 20240153624
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for evaluating electrically conductive objects comprising the steps of: (A) providing a computer-generated model of the object to be evaluated; (B) defining the one-dimensional representation of the object by means of a curve line, “center trajectory”, along the longitudinal axis of the object; (C) defining a number of radii, “blue disks”, along the center trajectory, said radii enclosing the three-dimensional geometry of the object; (D) generating a plurality of auxiliary trajectories using the radii defined in step (C), wherein the totality of the trajectories display the object with respect to its potential to absorb the applied tangential electric field, E-field; and (E) evaluating the tangential E-field at each of the trajectories generated in step (D) and the subsequent statistical preparation.

  • Patent number: 11933872
Abstract: A phantom for calibration and quality assurance of an MR tomograph that comprises a phantom body with measuring aids and an intermediate bottom in at least four planes. The first plane contains only measuring fluid. The second plane contains wedge-shaped elements. The third plane contains marks of known distance. The fourth plane contains comb-shaped elements. The measuring aids of the second plane are arranged on one side of the intermediate bottom and those of the fourth plane on the other side. The marks of the third plane are arranged in the intermediate bottom. This arrangement enables reliable calibration of the MR tomograph in a few steps with only this phantom.

  • Publication number: 20190187226
Abstract: There is a need for devices and methods which allow for a risk-free and reliable test of the MR-safety of implants outside the human body. For this purpose, the invention proposes a device for testing the MR-safety of an implant (4), comprising a phantom (1) that has a test volume filled with a medium (2), wherein the test volume receives the implant (4) to be tested, at least one RF transmitter (3) that emits radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation into the test volume, and comprising means for detecting the heating of the implant (4) and/or of the medium (2) surrounding said implant. The invention furthermore relates to a method for testing the MR-safety of an implant (4), in which a device of this kind is used.
