Abstract: A method for assembling a turbomachine, the turbomachine has an inner part for arranging in an outer case, which has a parting joint extending along an axis and is divisible into an outer-case upper part and an outer-case lower part. The inner part has rotor parts for rotating about the axis during operation and static components and has at least one seal extending in the circumferential direction for sealing a gap between the inner part and a sealing surface of the outer case. The method includes: providing the outer-case lower part, inserting the inner part into the outer-case lower part in a first axial position, joining the outer-case lower part and outer-case upper part, axially moving the inner part in the outer case in relation to the outer case from the first axial position into an axial end position such that the seal comes in contact with the sealing surface.

Abstract: A turbomachine, comprising a lower housing part, an assembly inserted into the lower housing part from above, comprising two opposite housing covers and a rotor having a shaft, the rotor being fed through both housing covers, and an upper housing part that encloses the assembly from above and is fastened to the lower housing part, is provided. A shaft seal is arranged between the cover and the shaft. To maintain good function of the shaft seal during operation using cold or hot gases, at least one of the covers has a temperature-control means guided around the shaft, having a first and a second temperature-control channel, for controlling the temperature of the lid in the area around the shaft.

Abstract: A turbomachine and a method for the assembly of the turbomachine with a housing and with a rotor, in which at least one cover of the housing is fastened to the rotor, and the combination is placed into a lower part of the housing and is then enclosed by an upper part of the housing, is provided. To attain centered mounting of the cover assembly and to thus prevent damage to the shaft seal, it is proposed that the combination, as it is placed in, is supported on at least one guide means in the housing, and the guide means forms a guide for the cover in the housing, by means of which guide the placed-in cover is held spaced apart from the housing lower part and the housing upper part with a radial assembly gap.
