  • Publication number: 20030152205
Abstract: A method (30), a telecommunication device (10) and a software product for implementing a method (30) on a telecommunication device (10) are presented, whereby the method (30) comprises steps for providing a telecommunication device (10) with a call-number directory (20) assigning calling party identifications (23) to defined call-number representations (22), matching (S32, S34) a call-number of a calling party with the call-number representations (24, 26) in the call-number directory (20) and, in case a generic call-number representation (26) in the call-number directory (20) matches a number sequence of the call-number of a calling party, outputting the calling party identification (27) assigned to the generic call-number representation (26).

  • Patent number: 6556512
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal (1) for a wireless telecommunication system and a method providing accurate real time information in such a mobile terminal (1). The mobile terminal (1) comprises input means (3) for inputting basic time information (T0), memory means (4) for storing basic time information (T0) input via said input means (3), real time means (2, 5) for continuously providing real time information (Tx) on the basis of low frequency oscillation signal and said basic time information (T0), and processing means (5) for computing a correction value (K) for correcting said real time information Tx to obtain an accurate real time information (Tacc) on the basis of an accurate time difference between a first accurate time information (T1) and a second accurate time information (T2) and a real time difference between a first real time information (Tx1) and a second real information (Tx2) from said real time means (2, 5).

  • Patent number: 6359417
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rechargeable battery pack (1) for a mobile terminal (10) of a wireless telecommunication system, with one or more battery cells (2), time reference means (3, 4) for generating relative time reference information (cv), identification means (5) for providing unique identification information (ID) allocated to the battery pack (1), and interface means (6) for transmitting said unique identification information (ID) and said relative time reference information (cv) to a connected mobile terminal (10) for updating real time information in the mobile terminal (10) on the basis of said unique identification information (ID) and said relative time reference information (cv).

  • Patent number: 6343212
Abstract: A predetermined area is protected from the disturbing usage of mobile terminals (e. g. cell phones) of a wireless communication system. Mode change information is sent over a system information message of a broadcast channel to change the operating mode (e. g. to deactivate) of the mobile terminal. This mode change information contains information, such as, the duration of the mode change, a reason for the mode change and information on groups of mobile terminals that will be exempted from the mode change. Additionally, the mobile terminal transmits an alarm signal to the user if the user is approaching a predetermined protected area.

  • Publication number: 20010041577
Abstract: The present invention relates to a base station (1, 1′) and a method for protecting a predetermined area from disturbing usage of mobile terminals of a wireless telecommunication system. Further, the present invention relates to a mobile terminal (7) the operation mode of which can be changed by mode change information received from a base station (1, 1′) to protect a predetermined area. A predetermined area might be an area, in which at least a high frequency part of the mobile terminals should be switched off automatically to avoid interference with electronic or electric devices, e. g. in hospital or airplanes. In other areas, e. g. restaurants, operas or the like, it is sufficient to reduce the volume of acoustic signals to be output so that other people in the area are not disturbed.
