  • Patent number: 10860888
Abstract: A system trains a computer model to classify images and to draw bounding boxes around classified objects in the images. The system uses a combination of partially labeled training images and fully labeled training images to train a model, such as a neural network model. The fully labeled training images include a classification label indicating a class of object depicted in the image, and bounding box or coordinate labels indicating a number of objects of the class in the image as well as the location of the objects of the class in the image. The partially labeled training images include a classification label but no indication of where in the image any objects of the class are located. Training the model using both types of training data makes it possible for the model to recognize and locate objects of classes that lack available fully labeled training data.

  • Patent number: 10852791
Abstract: Cooling of an electronic device is described herein. A sensor located at a first position determines a temperature at the first position. A processor identifies a fan speed of a fan positioned within the electronic device. The processor identifies a correlation between at least the determined temperature at the first position and the identified fan speed of the fan, and a temperature at a second position. The processor calculates an expected temperature at the second position using the identified correlation based on the determined temperature at the first position and the identified fan speed of the fan. The processor compares the calculated expected temperature at the second position to a predetermined temperature for the second position. The processor controls, based on the comparison, at least one component of the electronic device when the calculated expected temperature at the second position is greater than the predetermined temperature for the second position.

  • Patent number: 10848587
Abstract: A content delivery network may provide content items to requesting devices using a popularity-based distribution hierarchy. A central analysis system may determine popularity data for a content item stored in a first caching device. At a later time, the central analysis system may determine that a change in the popularity data is beyond a threshold value. The central analysis system may then transmit an instruction to move the content item from the first caching device to a second caching device in a different tier of caching devices than the first caching device. The central analysis system may update a content index to indicate that the content item has been moved to the second caching device. A user device may then be redirected to request the content item directly from the second caching device.

  • Patent number: 10834155
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to control of consumption of content in an appliance. The content can include linear programming and non-linear assets. Such control can permit (i) changing a channel in the appliance (e.g., a CPE without upstream functionality) and thus selecting a linear-programming asset, a non-linear asset, and so forth, and (ii) controlling consumption of such assets. In one aspect, a device with upstream network connectivity can control the consumption of media in the appliance. The device can leverage data management and control functionality of a service provider network to acquire information related to assets available for consumption and to transmit asset requests to the service provider network, which can transmit content and signaling to the appliance in accordance at least in part with the asset request, thus controlling media consumption in the appliance.

Abstract: A fuel injector assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a centerbody extended along a lengthwise direction, the centerbody defining a first fuel nozzle, and an annular shroud defining a second fuel nozzle directly surrounding the centerbody and extended along the lengthwise direction. A passage is defined through the annular shroud and extended generally along the lengthwise direction. The passage defines an exit opening disposed at a downstream end adjacent to the combustion chamber and in fluid communication therewith. The annular shroud defines a fuel inlet opening disposed at an upstream end of the passage. The annular shroud defines an air inlet opening in fluid communication with the passage. The air inlet opening is disposed between the fuel inlet opening and the exit opening.

  • Publication number: 20200334416
Abstract: A natural language understanding method begins with a radiological report text containing clinical findings. Errors in the text are corrected by analyzing character-level optical transformation costs weighted by a frequency analysis over a corpus corresponding to the report text. For each word within the report text, a word embedding is obtained, character-level embeddings are determined, and the word and character-level embeddings are concatenated to a neural network which generates a plurality of NER tagged spans for the report text. A set of linked relationships are calculated for the NER tagged spans by generating masked text sequences based on the report text and determined pairs of potentially linked NER spans. A dense adjacency matrix is calculated based on attention weights obtained from providing the one or more masked text sequences to a Transformer deep learning network, and graph convolutions are then performed over the calculated dense adjacency matrix.

  • Publication number: 20200334809
Abstract: For training data pairs comprising training text (a radiological report) and training images (radiological images associated with the radiological report), a first encoder network determines word embeddings for the training text. A concept is generated from the operation of layers of the first encoder network, which is regularized by a first loss between the generated concept and a labeled concept for the training text. A second encoder network determines features for the training image. A heatmap is generated from the operation of layers of the second encoder network, which is regularized by a second loss between the generated heatmap and a labeled heatmap for the training image. A categorical cross entropy loss is calculated between a diagnostic quality category (classified by an error encoder) and a labeled diagnostic quality category for the training data pair. A total loss function comprising the first, second, and categorical cross entropy losses is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20200316430
Abstract: A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.

  • Patent number: 10780907
Abstract: A cart is disclosed which is capable of being wheeled to a vehicle and mounted thereon through a mount secure coupling attached to the cart and a secure receiver attached to the vehicle. Upon secure attachment to the vehicle, the carts undercarriage assembly including wheels are capable of being retracted into the top deck assembly of the cart. Therefore, the vehicle maintains clearance from the road even after the cart is attached. Upon reaching a destination, the undercarriage of the cart is lowered and the cart is detached from the vehicle. The cart is then able to be wheeled away. The cart allows for transportation of loads without the need for the operator to actually carry either the load or the cart at any stage from start to finish or perform any additional steps to safe and securely attach the cart to the vehicle.
