  • Patent number: 9454137
Abstract: A microgrid system may control power distribution among a plurality of interconnected microgrids operated under droop mode. The microgrids may operate both autonomously and as part of the system. Stable power distribution between the microgrids may be performed by monitoring operation of the microgrids and electrically disconnecting the microgrids from one another when a power outage or performance outside of a tolerance is detected. Network lines between the microgrids may remain in communication while the microgrids are disconnected from one another. The microgrids may operate autonomously under a preset operating droop frequency until power stability is detected at a boundary between adjacent microgrids. The microgrids may communicate with one another adjusting operating droop until synchronization among microgrids is achieved and the microgrids can be reconnected into the microgrid system.

  • Patent number: 8647720
Abstract: A system for applying coatings and more specifically paint coatings is provided that combines fluid stored in separate reservoir containers prior to expelling the mixture for application. The reservoirs may be comprised of collapsible and disposable bags that eject its fluid upon activation of an actuator or expanding bladder. The fluid components are combined and blended together in a mixer that is positioned between the reservoirs and a nozzle.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for coating a substrate with at least a basecoat layer and clearcoat layer allow quick repairs to damaged vehicle panels under ambient temperatures and without requirement of actinic or thermal radiation to cure the layers. At least one basecoat and one clearcoat layer may be applied to a substrate and the clearcoat layer may be buffed with less than 30 minutes allocated to curing the basecoat and clearcoat layers, under ambient conditions, prior to buffing. Methods and compositions are also taught for coating a substrate with at least a primer layer, a basecoat layer, and a clearcoat layer, in which the clearcoat layer may be buffed with less than about 45 minutes allocated to curing the primer, basecoat and clearcoat layers, under ambient conditions, prior to buffing.
