  • Patent number: 11525798
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring fluid levels and electrolyte levels used in a dialysis machine. A receptacle, configured to receive a container, comprises a plurality of curved side panels and a base to form a cylindrical shaped cavity for receiving a container. Each panel includes a conductive material on its inner surface and, optionally, a shielding on its outer surface. An electronics component housed within, or near, the receptacle drives the capacitive process and interprets generated data to determine fluid levels and compositions. An alternate receptacle includes one or two coils wrapped about the container and uses induction to determine fluid level.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 9273823
Abstract: A latchable, clamping hanger for hanging an exercise mat from an external support. The hanger has a clip with a jaw which can be opened by a user pressing with one hand on the clip. When the clip reaches its ‘open’ position it latches in place, freeing the user to use both hands to lift the mat and insert its upper edge between the clip and the base of the hanger. Once the mat is in place the clip latch is released, and the hanger will hold the mat in an unrolled position so that it can dry flat.

  • Publication number: 20100271324
Abstract: A touch panel with both static elements is created by layering a glass cover over a label, which is then layered over a touch screen. The high quality label over the touch screen sets forth areas that could be used as buttons, switches, or potentiometers. The label could also have a die cut window that reveals a dynamic screen underneath, allowing for a touch screen with both static buttons that are always present and a dynamic interface that could react to user input.

  • Publication number: 20090129591
Abstract: A technique for securing selected document content includes receiving, at a printer, an unsecured electronic document. Selected content of the electronic document is then encrypted, with an encryption key, at the printer. A paper document whose content includes the encrypted selected content of the electronic document is then printed. The encrypted selected content of the paper document is unintelligible prior to decryption with a decryption key.

  • Publication number: 20060003159
Abstract: A high reflectivity coated substrate and coating composition employing a binder containing a polyester resin that includes a cycloaliphatic group and has a number average molecular weight from about 1,000 to 40,000. The binder contains less than 40 weight percent aromatic group containing compound and the weight ratio of pigment to binder is greater than 0.9:1. When the binder is blended with rutile TiO2 at a solids loading of 50 weight percent and coated to a dried film thickness of 0.00254 cm, the coating exhibits a Y-value of at least 85.5.
