  • Patent number: 9598892
Abstract: Disclosed is quick-release removable cladding for interior fenestration frames, such as the interior frames of doors, window, skylights, or curtain walls. The cladding is held flush against the frame by a pair of brackets or alternatively by a bracket attached to frame and a shaped cavity within the cladding. In one aspect, the pair of brackets can be shaped and arranged so that when engaged, a downward force on the cladding causes the cladding to move flush against the frame. In another aspect, the cladding can be held securely in place to the frame by a keeper bar. The keeper bar can be configured to prevent upward movement of the cladding against the frame.

  • Publication number: 20160298337
Abstract: The invention is a double-hinged sill for adjustable securing the panels of a handrail system to a floor, the sill has U-shaped channel. A pair of hinged plates is pivotally mounted within the channel. A cylindrical hinge member is provided at the bottom end of each of the hinge plates and extends the length of the hinge plate. A groove for receiving the cylindrical hinge member is provided at the bottom of the sill. The pair of hinge plates is aligned within the sill as mirror images. A series of adjustment and locking screws are provided along the length of the sill and extend there through from either the top of the sill or the sides of the sill and a readapted to selectively impinge against the pair of hinge plates to movably adjust the plates inwardly against a glass panel or outwardly away from a glass panel to vertically align the same and lock it into place.

  • Patent number: 9441373
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel glue laminated timber, or glulam, that simulates the appearance of solid sawn wood. The glulam can be utilized as both a structural and aesthetic element for glass doors and windows as well as other structural applications where appearance might be a consideration. It can also be utilized in furniture making and wood working applications where thick solid furniture-grade exotic hardwood can be utilized and can be difficult to obtain. The lams are stacked along the length of the glulam providing a solid wood outer surface as the widest surface of the glulam. At least one lam is stacked transversely and inset from opposing longitudinal edges to form the appearance of a solid wood surface and cover lamination seams.

  • Publication number: 20160083986
Abstract: Disclosed is a door catch that can help to prevent door sag, especially for heavy or tall residential or commercial doors, and provides for post-installation catch tension adjustment without removal or adjustment of mounting members. In one aspect, the door catch can include a ball catch base, a threaded ball plunger assembly, a catch bumper, and a bumper base. In another aspect, the catch bumper and the bumper base can optionally be combined into a single catch bar bracket. The ball plunger assembly is adjustably mounted within a threaded aperture of ball catch base. A ball captive in one end of the ball plunger assembly engages a detent in the catch bumper, or catch bar bracket, providing friction to hold the door open. The position of the ball plunger assembly can be adjusted vertically to increase or decrease the tension between the detent and the ball plunger assembly.

  • Patent number: 8925258
Abstract: A device for adjusting wall or door panels without the need to remove or disassembly the panels from their panel frames. The device can adjust the distance of the in-fill panel from a stationary frame or trolley track. Multiple devices can be utilized and adjusted independently allowing for angle adjustment of the panel. The device includes an in-fill attachment a threaded fastener, two angled adjustment blocks, and a block keeper. The in-fill attachment includes inset angled pockets, a wedge like portion, and an in-fill receiving portion. As the threaded fastener is turned, the angled sides of the two angled adjustment blocks slide along the angle pockets and move the in-fill attachment either toward or away from the panel frame thereby also moving the panel toward or away from the panel frame.
