Abstract: Actuators and methods of use are provided. An actuator may include an inner member made from an elastic material and defining a compartment for receiving an actuating fluid, the inner member being moveable in a longitudinal direction from a relaxed state to an expanded state by introducing an actuating fluid into the inner member; and an outer member made from an inelastic material and being disposed around the elastic inner member to control expansion of the elastic inner member in a radial direction, the outer member being moveable from a folded relaxed configuration to an unfolded extended configuration as the inner member moves from the relaxed state to the expanded state, wherein the movement of the actuator between the relaxed state and the expanded state causes a movement of a structure to which the actuator is attached.

Abstract: A notification apparatus and method for a package receptacle, such as a mailbox, including a receiving door with a closure lip, a mounting plate, a notification flap, and a self-contained spring loaded hinge between the mounting plate and the notification flap. The mounting plate is securable to a mailbox with at least a portion of the notification flap securable under a door of the mailbox, and, when the door is opened, the flap rotates approximately 90-degrees about the hinge toward the mounting plate.

Abstract: Techniques and systems for recording video and audio in timeline sequences. In some embodiments, a method involves playing video from a timeline sequence that can include footage from portions of video tracks including at least one pre-recorded edit. In response to a selection of footage from the timeline sequence, the method can involve overwriting at least one pre-recorded edit in the timeline sequence. Each video track can correspond to a respective camera in a multiple-camera source. The footage can include one or more video clips, still images, frames, and moving images. The overwriting can occur while playing the video at a play rate faster than realtime, a play rate slower than realtime, a user-selected playing rate, during video scrubbing, or during realtime playback. The recording may involve a jump back input, and punch in and punch out locations associated with the timeline sequence.
