  • Publication number: 20180050630
Abstract: A captive beam system is provided. The system includes a beam assembly comprising a beam and channel units at each end. The beam comprising a top surface that, when the captive beam system is installed, faces upward, wherein the top surface establishes a flat resting surface. Each channel unit supports a bracket and a pawl, the pawl is rotatable with respect to the first end of the channel unit. The pawl comprises a support surface that is configured, when the captive beam system is installed, to rest upon a bottom edge of an aperture disposed within a fixed track, wherein a vertical distance between the support surface and the flat resting surface of the beam is about 2.58 inches. An optional upper latch is configured to substantially prevent movement of the beam assembly in a direction along a long axis of an aperture of a fixed track.
