  • Publication number: 20120062330
Abstract: A radio frequency integrated circuit (and method of making) for enhancing wireless communication and/or sensing systems comprising a base comprising a gallium arsenide (GaAs) substrate; a binary phase shift keying modulator fabricated on the base; a power amplifier fabricated on the base and operatively associated with the binary phase shift keying modulator; the power amplifier having a first shunt operatively associated therewith; a transmit/receive switch fabricated on the base, the transmit/receive switch being operatively associated with the power amplifier and being alternately connectable to an antenna port adapted to be connected to an antenna; a low noise amplifier fabricated on the base; the low noise amplifier being alternately connectable to the antenna port, the low noise amplifier having a second shunt operatively associated therewith; the circuit operating in a transmit stage in which the power amplifier is connected to the antenna port and in a receive stage in which the low noise amplifier is

  • Patent number: 8089747
Abstract: A power pedestal provides power to a vehicle and a structure disposed separate from the vehicle. The power pedestal includes a housing having an exterior, a first end fixed to a platform, and a second end disposed opposite and distal from the first end. A meter socket assembly is housed by the housing. At least one first branch circuit breaker and a second main circuit breaker are electrically connected to the meter socket assembly within the housing. At least one of the at least one first branch circuit breaker is electrically connected to the vehicle by a corresponding one of a number of first electrical conductors. The second main circuit breaker is electrically connected to the structure by a second electrical conductor. A meter, which is electrically connected to the meter socket assembly, measures electric energy consumed by the vehicle and the structure.

  • Publication number: 20110066841
Abstract: A policy-driven communication and management infrastructure may include components such as Agent, Server and Console, policy messages, and Relays to deliver security and system management to networked devices. An Agent resides on a Client, acting as a universal policy engine for delivering multiple management services. Relays, Clients additionally configured to each behave as though they were a root Server, Relaying information to and from other Clients, permit Clients to interact with the root Server through the Relay, enabling information exchange between Client and Server. Such information exchange allows Clients to gather information, such as new policy messages, from the Server, to pass status messages to the Server and to register their network address so that they can be readily located. Automatic Relay selection enables Clients and Relays to select their own parent Relays, thus allowing Clients and Relays to discover new routing paths through the network without administrator input.

  • Publication number: 20110029626
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a technique that extends relevance-based computation to include computation based on information accessed from or exchanged with other agents. Mechanisms are provided by which an agent accesses or exchanges information between or among other agents and may include one or more of: central bulletin board, broadcast, direct request—pull, direct request—push, and server-routed. Architectural models of distributed decision making to facilitate a distributed and policy-based management of IT infrastructure are provided.

  • Publication number: 20100332640
Abstract: Visibility and control are provided for a variety of different assets as found in a particular networked environment, such as, for example an enterprise network environment. Visibility and control of properties of assets are achieved by way of native agents, pseudo-agents that provide visibility and control of properties of assets of external systems by inspecting and applying changes into such assets, and bridges that provide visibility of other external data sources that cannot be controlled. A technique is provided that brings such visibility and control into a unified view that can be displayed in front of a console operator, for example. The controllable assets may be managed directly from the unified view at the console.

  • Patent number: 7434762
Abstract: A retractable thrust vector control system (10) for a rocket motor (26) that can generate an exhaust plume comprises at least one control vane (12) connectable to an attitude control assembly (20) that rotates the vane (12) about a control axis (44). The system also includes a retraction mechanism (14) for withdrawing the control vane (12) along the control axis (44) from an extended position at least partially within a path of a rocket exhaust plume and a retracted position substantially out of a path of a rocket exhaust plume.

  • Publication number: 20080222280
Abstract: A pseudo-agent is disclosed herein that bridges this divide. For purposes of the discussion herein, a pseudo-agent is a machine that is installed on a fully capable host machine, such as a Windows or UNIX machine, and that gathers and evaluates content from a management server, takes actions if so instructed, and reports the results of its evaluation upstream. However, unlike an agent in a traditional management system, which inspects and acts on the local machine, the pseudo-agent actually inspects and acts on a remote device, or many remote devices.

  • Publication number: 20070199231
Abstract: A fishing lure assembly and the method of making a unique fill composition that causes attractant scent compounds to be dispensed from the fishing lure assembly. The fishing lure assembly has a body that can retain a volume of fill composition. The fill composition contains an ion exchange material and attractant scent compounds that are ionically bonded together. When the fishing lure is submersed in water, the fill composition is exposed to a controlled flow of water. In an ion exchange reaction, ions contained within the water bond to the ion exchange material and thus free the previously bonded attractant scent compounds. The freed attractant scent compounds flow out of the lure assembly with the passing water.
