  • Publication number: 20210341097
Abstract: An adaptor that attaches to a portable electronic device and is configured to removably receive a user-chosen accessory and that supports the portable electronic device on or to a structure is disclosed. The adaptor allows for the use of different accessories with the portable electronic device, thus providing a level of customization for the user. The adaptor includes a mounting member for supporting the adaptor to the portable electronic device, a body, and at least one receiving bracket supported on the body, the receiving bracket removably attaching the accessory to the adaptor. The mounting member defines a slot sized to receive a grip that is attached to the portable electronic device. The side edges of the mounting member are spaced apart a sufficient distance to allow the grip device to be slid or otherwise received into slot in snug engagement with the side edges so that the adaptor does not disengage from the portable electronic device unintentionally.

  • Patent number: 10774865
Abstract: A quick-release adapter consists of a top unit and a base unit. The top unit has a cylindrical hub with multiple lobes extending radially outward from the hub. The lobes each have an inclined upper surface and a flat, horizontal lower surface. The base unit has a cavity that is sized and shaped to match the lower portion of the top unit, with multiple lobe-shaped openings and side walls with inclined upper surfaces that match the incline of the upper surfaces of the lobes. A detent plunger protrudes through the lower surface of the cavity at a location that is 45° offset from the center of one of the lobe-shaped openings. In operation, the top unit is inserted into the base unit and rotated until the detent plunger engages the recess in the lower surface of one of the lobes. This locks the top unit from further rotation.

Abstract: A quick-release adapter consists of a top unit and a base unit. The top unit has a downwardly-extending cylindrical hub with multiple lobes extending radially outward from the hub. In operation, the top unit is aligned with the base unit so that the lobes of the top unit are aligned with the lobe-shaped openings. The top unit is then inserted into the base unit so that the lower surface of one of the lobes depresses the detent plunger. The top unit is then rotated until the detent plunger engages the recess in the lower surface of one of the lobes.

  • Patent number: 9433253
Abstract: A visor assembly includes a main visor secured to a helmet and a movable visor extension for increasing the operational length of the main visor to inhibit debris from striking the goggles or face of the rider during use. The visor assembly further includes a latching mechanism for maintaining the visor extension in a retracted position, a pair of biasing members for biasing the visor extension into an extended position when the latching mechanism is released, and guide tracks and guide-stops for guiding and stopping forward movement of the visor extension at the end of travel into the extended position. The visor extension is readily available to the rider to be used when needed without stopping, is positioned under the helmet visor when not needed so that it is out the way, and can be fitted onto conventional helmets.

  • Patent number: 8413058
Abstract: Click-to-callback provides an icon or link on a webpage that a user can select or click on. When the icon or link is clicked or otherwise selected, the user is provided with a list of his phone numbers to choose from, or a blank field to enter an alternate number, for an immediate return call from a representative of the entity (e.g., the company) associated with the webpage. When this request is submitted, the representative desirably calls the user back immediately (e.g., within about 10 seconds) to provide assistance. Thus, the user remains on the website, and gets the help he desires to continue on the website, which may, for example, lead to the user making an online purchase.
