  • Publication number: 20160082957
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method that recognizes vehicle lane departure in road conditions affected by environmental conditions. The system uses magnetic field flux detection to determine if a vehicle is departing from a projected vehicle trajectory or a determined vehicle position between lanes. A magnetic material is applied to the stripes painted on road surfaces or on other applicable lane boundary indicators. The system uses magnetic field flux sensors or Hall Effect sensors mounted in the vehicle to recognize changes in magnetic field flux from the magnetized road stripe. These changes in magnetic field flux are interpreted by the system to determine whether alarms should be initiated for vehicle lane departure.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 5512875
Abstract: An automatic transmission lever position indicating device comprising a housing including a face wall structure presenting within an opaque background a sequence of translucent characters corresponding in sequence with the positions of the lever. A circuit board is mounted within the housing including leads for receiving and transmitting signals including the input signals of the automatic transmission. An illuminating assembly is carried by the circuit board for illuminating all of the sequence of translucent characters and additionally indicating by illumination one of the sequence of translucent characters corresponding to the position the lever is in.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4943109
Abstract: An automotive door assembly comprising a rigid frame structure defining the main body of the door assembly, an outer skin fixed to an outer side of the rigid frame structure defining the exterior appearance of the door assembly, and a panel assembly disposed on the opposite side of the rigid frame structure defining the interior appearance of the door assembly. A plurality of electrically operated components are carried by the rigid frame structure having first current connectors mounted in generally stationary relation on the rigid frame structure in oppositely facing and oppositely accessible relation with respect to the outer skin. An electrical harness assembly forming a part of the panel assembly includes second current connectors mounted in generally stationary relation on the panel assembly in oppositely facing and oppositely accessible relation with respect to the appearance defining surface thereof.
