    Abstract: Systems and techniques for tracking and reconciling controlled substance usage data are disclosed. First and second sets of entries providing controlled substance usage information of a medical practice are obtained. The second set is obtained from a practice information management system associated with the medical practice. One or more inconsistencies between the first and second sets of entries is identified. The inconsistencies are reconciled based on one or more rules. A third set of entries incorporating the reconciliation into the first set of entries is generated.
