  • Patent number: 9641770
Abstract: The algorithm of the present disclosure works in conjunction with a user device (e.g., a mobile phone) capable of acquiring and displaying an image, and a server. First and second portions of the algorithm can be resident on the user device and the server, respectively. The algorithm can receive the image, as well as other information from the device such as the location and compass heading of the device, and time of day. The algorithm can obtain information relating to an object in the image, and display the data set on or near the object in the image. The data set can contain information relevant to or about the object. The algorithm can automatically detect whether the data set is in the right location, and if not, calculate and apply an offset to the data set. The algorithm can also store data from multiple users and analyze this data over a period of time to determine the accuracy of the same.

  • Publication number: 20160370179
Abstract: The system of the present disclosure has an algorithm that can correct sensor data for one or more devices, such as mobile devices. The system comprises one or more of the devices, a cloud or server, and algorithms. The algorithm can be resident on the devices, the cloud, or both. The algorithm receives data from one or more sensors on each device, and supplies a data set back to the device, along with corrected data that adjusts any error in the sensors on the device. In this way, the system and algorithm of the present disclosure can account for and correct erroneous sensor data on a user's device, thus enhancing the user's experience with the device. The algorithm may also supply an overlay or data set to the device, and can allow the user to manipulate it.

  • Patent number: 8607305
Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to collecting anonymous and traceable telemetry. In aspects, a telemetry source may obtain a certificate or other data from an escrow certificate issuer. The certificate includes information usable by a certificate collector to verify that the certificate is valid, but does not include information usable to identify the telemetry source to the telemetry collector.
