Abstract: A vehicle seat assembly includes a seat, seat mounting brackets for securing the seat to a vehicle structure, and a pair of laterally spaced apart track assemblies secured to the mounting brackets to selectively move the seat in a horizontal direction. A plurality of weight sensing devices are connected to the seat mounting brackets and a pair of mounting plates are supported by the weight sensing devices. A first pair of the weight sensing devices supports one of the pair of mounting plates and a second pair of the weight sensing devices supports the other of the pair of mounting plates. The weight sensing devices provide signals indicating occupancy of the seat. A seat belt is secured to at least one of the mounting plates so that loads of seat belt are transmitted through the mounting plates to the track assemblies and the mounting brackets.

Abstract: An adjustment mechanism is provided for a seat assembly of an automotive vehicle having a floor. The adjuster mechanism includes a support member, a first leg, a shaft, an arm, a link and a motor. The shaft extends defines a first axis. A first end of the support member is rotatably coupled to the shaft. The first leg has an upper end rotatably coupled to the shaft and a lower end rotatably coupled to the floor for rotation about a second axis. The arm has a distal end extending radially outwardly from the shaft. The link has one end pivotally coupled to the distal end of the arm and an opposite end pivotally coupled to the floor for rotation of the link about a third axis. A motor is drivingly engaged to the shaft via a gear mechanism causing rotation of support member about the first axis, rotation of the first leg about the second axis and rotation of the link about the third axis, whereby the support member is displaced between a seating position and a stowed position.

Abstract: A locking clip for locking an elongate piece to a structure has a first portion forming an aperture in a first plane for receiving a rod, tube or other elongate workpiece. The first portion has a first lock portion and an attachment member. The locking clip also has a second portion having an inside surface and a free end. The second portion is connected to the first portion via a hinge for movement (i.e., movement of the second portion of the locking clip relative to the first portion) in a second plane from a closed position to an open position. The second portion also has a second lock portion and a positioning pin extending inwardly from the inside surface. The second portion is lockable in the closed position by engagement of the first and second lock portions with each other.
