A power switch on the control panel is connected to the electric motor, the first battery, and the second battery, and is designed to control which battery powers the electric motor. A charging switch on the control panel is connected to the charging system, the first battery, and the second battery, and is designed to control which battery the charging system recharges. Additionally, the charging switch includes a neutral setting wherein neither battery is selected. In this way, a user is able to operate a vehicle over extended distances.
