  • Patent number: 11396715
Abstract: A single crystal diamond material comprising: neutral nitrogen-vacancy defects (NV0); negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy defects (NV?); and single substitutional nitrogen defects (Ns) which transfer their charge to the neutral nitrogen-vacancy defects (NV0) to convert them into the negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy defects (NV), characterized in that the single crystal diamond material has a magnetometry figure of merit (FOM) of at least 2, wherein the magnetometry figure of merit is defined by (I) where R is a ratio of concentrations of negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy defects to neutral nitrogen-vacancy defects ([NV?]/[NV0]), [NV?] is the concentration of negatively charged nitrogen-vacancy defects measured in parts-per-million (ppm) atoms of the single crystal diamond material, [NV0] is a concentration of neutral nitrogen-vacancy defects measured in parts-per-million (ppm) atoms of the single crystal diamond material, and T2? is a decoherence time of the NV? defects, where T2? is T2* for DC magnetome

  • Publication number: 20110306478
Abstract: An exercise device for allowing a user to obtain a full body workout includes an innermost tubular member and an outermost tubular member, the tubular members fitted together and longitudinally and slidably movable in a telescoping manner relative to each other during the workout, a chamber within the outermost tubular member, the chamber receiving a compressible gas that provides resistance to relative movement of the tubular members, a collar between the innermost tubular member and the outermost tubular member, a lower limb connector attachment mounted to an end of one of the innermost or outermost tubular members for attachment to a lower limb of a user, and a gripping area at or near an opposite end of the other of the innermost and outermost tubular members to the lower limb connector attachment to stretch and strengthen the user's body muscles during the workout.

  • Patent number: 8021284
Abstract: An exercise device is provided for enabling a user to obtain a full body workout. By attaching the device at selected positions on the hands, feet, arms, legs, or torso, different muscle groups of a user's body can be isolated for training and strengthening purposes. The exercise device includes two or more pieces of tubing material fitted together in a telescoping manner. Pressurized air within the tubing provides a user with resistance to movement in order to tone and strengthen the muscles. At one end of the telescoping tubing material is a handgrip and at the other end is a strap of a suitable resilient or elastic material that allows a user to securely place a foot or hand in for exercise purposes.
