  • Patent number: 11966786
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a system and method for managing energy consumption of one or more processor cores in a multicore processing device. The method includes establishing a temporal interval that includes a plurality of temporal periods and an interval energy target for one or more processor cores. The method also includes determining for each temporal period a period energy target for the processor cores and determining a processor core throttling state for the processor cores. The method further includes adjusting the respective period energy target and the respective processor core throttling state at the beginning of each successive temporal period. The method also includes converging, subject to the adjusting, as each respective temporal period of the plurality of temporal periods is concluded, a total period energy consumption of the processor cores with the interval energy target.

  • Patent number: 11956932
Abstract: A device may monitor an intake temperature of an air flow through an air intake of a building that includes a ventilation system for temperature control of a first region of the building, a liquid cooling system for temperature control of equipment that is within a second region of the building, and a heat exchanger that is thermally coupled to the ventilation system and the liquid cooling system. The device may determine that the intake temperature is below a threshold temperature. The device may control the ventilation system to cause the air flow to cool a water flow of the liquid cooling system via the heat exchanger to produce a cooled water flow. The device may control the liquid cooling system to cause the cooled water flow of the liquid cooling system to bypass a chiller system of the liquid cooling system to reduce power consumption by the chiller system.

  • Patent number: 11589106
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying a media program and receiving a digital media stream including metadata and payload data, wherein the payload data includes program content of the identified media program. The metadata further includes program event information and program status information related to the identified media program. A recording status of the identified media program is determined, wherein an active recording status indicates the identified media program is being recorded at a media recorder. Responsive to the active recording status, an end of program is determined according to the identified media program, the program event information and the program status information. • Patent number: 10743070
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method comprising obtaining channel change data for a media processor coupled to a gateway; the channel change data relates to channel changes requested during recurring time periods. A channel viewing profile is determined for the media processor, and a channel viewing map is generated corresponding to a portion of the channel viewing profile for one of the time periods; the channel viewing map comprises a list of predicted channels likely to be requested during a recurrence of the time period. Signals are provided to the media processor corresponding to the predicted channels, each of the predicted channels thereby being available for an instant channel change responsive to a channel change request. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10728600
Abstract: A method includes sending, from a server to a network device, a request for channel change server data, the request identifying a time slot. The method includes receiving, at the server, the channel change server data from the network device responsive to the request. The channel change server data identifies a set of times during the time slot and an estimated number of active channel change servers for each time of the set of times. The method also includes, in response to a first particular estimated number for a first particular time of the set to times indicating to increase a number of active channel change servers, sending an activation command from the server to a first idle channel change server at a first time before the first particular time. The activation command instructs the first idle channel change server to transition to an active channel change server.

  • Publication number: 20200130745
Abstract: The present application generally relates to a method and apparatus for vehicle side trailer detection in a motor vehicle. In particular, the system is operative to determine a trailer connection by activating a trailer lighting circuit and detecting a signal on a pin of the trailer connection. A signal generator and a switch are housed within the trailer connector such that the switch is depressed and the signal generator is activated in response to an insertion of a plug within the trailer connector.

  • Patent number: 9987024
Abstract: A system and method for developing customized apparatus, such as guides, for use in one or more surgical procedures is disclosed. The system and method incorporates a patient's unique anatomical features or morphology, which may be derived from capturing MRI data or CT data, to fabricate at least one custom apparatus or guide. According to a preferred embodiment, the customized apparatus comprises at least one patient-specific surface and or contour, which may be derived from MRI or CT data. Apparatus may be matched in duplicate and oriented around the patient's own anatomy, and may further provide any desired axial alignments or insertional trajectories. In an alternate embodiment, the apparatus may further be aligned and/or matched with at least one other apparatus during the surgical procedure.
