Abstract: A joint assembly for joining structural members in a building frame can comprise: a marriage strap including one or more through-holes; one or more fasteners configured to be inserted through the one or more through-holes of the marriage strap; and a cube coupling joint including one or more recessed channels sized and shaped to receive a portion of the marriage strap, one or more fastener holes located within the one or more recessed channels and configured to receive and secure to the one or more fasteners. In some embodiments, the marriage strap is configured to be inserted into the one or more recessed channels of the cube coupling joint and the one or more fasteners are further configured to be inserted into and secured to the one or more fastener holes of the cube coupling joint.

Abstract: A threaded fasteners combines two or more of (a) a self-drilling tip that is long enough and/or sufficiently distanced from the threads to assure that drilling action is complete before the first thread engages the surface of the work piece, (b) high-low threads, and (c) a factory pre-applied adhesive/sealant. Such fasteners are especially advantageous in applications where connections to fiberglass are needed, and especially in applications such as boats or other transportation vehicles where leaks resulting from drilled cavities are problematic.

Abstract: A threaded fastener has a self-drilling tip and threads holding a microencapsulated, substantially dry, self-curing adhesive. The tip is distanced from the threads by at least 0.025 cm, and possibly by at least 1 cm, and the tip comprises a pinch point configuration. The adhesive may comprise first and second parts that harden when mixed. Such a fastener can be used to assemble a structure having a composite wall, possibly comprising fiberglass, by providing such a fastener and screwing the fastener into the wall. Such a fastener is particularly advantageous if the structure is a boat.

Abstract: A structure formed of semi-rigid material including a set of first form units, of rectangular cross-section, adapted to be secured in end-to-end relation about the margin of a pool with their upper edges being flush with the upper edge of the pool wall, each first form unit having at least two transversely extending plugs capable of receiving nails which are driven therethrough and into the rim of the pool wall; and further including a second set of form units, of rectangular cross-section and of greater width than the first form units so as to project thereabove to provide an edge form for a deck slab poured on the upper edge of the pool wall, the confronting surfaces of the form units being attached by pressure sensitive adhesive strips, whereby the second form units are strippable from the first form units to expose the edge of the deck slab for finishing with an appropriate hand tool.
