  • Patent number: 9038934
Abstract: A fly reel comprises a housing having a back plate, a spindle extending from the back plate, a spool rotatably mounted on the spindle, an adjustable drag assembly fixed to the spool and rotatably mounted with the spool, the adjustable drag assembly is adapted to provide controlled friction against the spool during rotation of the spool, a crank member for rotating the spool in a first direction, and a one way clutch operatively associated with the spindle for permitting rotation of the crank member in the first direction only whereby the spool is adapted to rotate independent of the crank in a second direction that is opposite the first direction. In addition, the drag adjustment knob of the reel is disposed on the same side as the reel crank handle and the drag components may be sealed within a cartridge.

  • Patent number: 8898973
Abstract: A system for ventilating the cavity of a fixed or movable window or door construction of a building, the window or door having an upper sill or header and a low sill provided with weep holes and a pair of jamb elements, the system comprising a vent member operative associated with the upper sill portion, the vent member is in fluid communication with the upper sill at one end thereof and also with the interior of the building at an opposite end thereof, the vent member extends vertically above the upper sill a distance sufficient to vent pressure within the cavity to the interior of the building so that water is caused to be readily conveyed out of the weep holes regardless of any pressure differential between the interior and exterior of the building.

  • Patent number: 6394346
Abstract: An apparatus automatically analyzes and culls-out defective contactless smart cards. Analysis of smart cards may include RF ranging for both near and far ranges, card type decoding for sorting or encoding using a multi-protocol reader, full memory reading and writing, concave and convex card flexing, optical graphics verification of both sides of card, reading and verifying printed serial numbers, and matching encoded serial numbers with printed serial number. The apparatus also provides high speed encoding and initializing of contactless smart cards. Contactless cards moved through machine serially without belts and rollers. The testing and encoding sequence includes bending and flexing the smart cards followed by RF testing. Self-positioning capability provides accurate card positioning over RF antennas.

  • Patent number: 4374564
Abstract: A ticket diverter module for placement in a ticket handling system includes a housing having a transport passage for receiving a ticket from an adjacent transport module, and a diverter blade for selectively diverting the ticket to either one of an exit passage for return to a patron or a capture passage for discarding. An alternate embodiment includes an escrow control device for retaining the ticket in a holding position within the capture passage for inspection. A further embodiment includes a thermal cancel device for cancelling a ticket.

  • Patent number: 4365796
Abstract: A ticket exit drive module for a ticket handling system includes a modular housing unit that is detachably mountable on a base or support plate adjacent to for mechanical interfacing with a transport unit or module of the system for receiving a ticket and passing the ticket along a ticket passage from its inlet to an outlet wherein the ticket is grasped between frictional fingers and held in position to be received by patron. Sensing means within the unit senses the presence and passage of a ticket therein.
