Publication number: 20180197182Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing at least one fraud prevention rule associated with a detected fraud condition. An example method includes detecting a fraud condition associated with a source merchant, where the fraud condition includes multiple suspect transactions and where each one of suspect transactions has a parameter that is substantially consistent with the other ones of the suspect transactions. The method also includes identifying a like merchant based on a proximity of the like merchant to the source merchant, and determining a travel time between the source merchant and the like merchant. The method further includes deploying at least one fraud prevention rule at the like merchant during a fraud risk interval, where the at least one fraud prevention rule is based on the parameter of at least one of the suspect transactions and where the fraud risk interval is based on the determined travel time.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 11, 2017Publication date: July 12, 2018Inventors: Srinivasarao Nidamanuri, Vincent Alain Haulotte, Gregory Goodman

Patent number: 8709486Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition suitable for administration to a subject, the composition comprising pharmacologically acceptable particulate material dispersed throughout a pharmacologically acceptable liquid carrier, the particulate material being maintained in the dispersed state by a steric stabilizer, wherein the steric stabilizer is a polymeric material comprising a steric stabilizing polymeric segment and an anchoring polymeric segment, one or both of which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers that have been polymerized by a living polymerization technique, wherein the steric stabilizing polymeric segment is different from the anchoring polymeric segment, and wherein the anchoring polymeric segment has an affinity toward the surface of the particulate material and secures the stabilizer to the particulate material.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2009Date of Patent: April 29, 2014Assignee: The University of SydneyInventors: Brian Stanley Hawkett, Nirmesh Jain, Thi Thuy Binh Pham, Yanjun Wang, Gregory Goodman Warr

Patent number: 8625864Abstract: A method and system is provided for performing cosmetic analysis of a subject. Assessment data of observable characteristics of each of a plurality of defined body areas of a subject is converted to weighted data for each of the plurality of defined body areas. This weighted data is analyzed to generate cosmetic analysis data. This cosmetic analysis data can include an apparent age of the subject. The cosmetic analysis data is then provided to a user such as a cosmetic surgeon, beauty therapist or the subject themself. The system and method can be further adapted to perform treatment diagnosis for the subject based on the cosmetic analysis data.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2009Date of Patent: January 7, 2014Inventor: Gregory Goodman

Publication number: 20110129417Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition suitable for administration to a subject, the composition comprising pharmacologically acceptable particulate material dispersed throughout a pharmacologically acceptable liquid carrier, the particulate material being maintained in the dispersed state by a steric stabiliser, wherein the steric stabiliser is a polymeric material comprising a steric stabilising polymeric segment and an anchoring polymeric segment, one or both of which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers that have been polymerised by a living polymerisation technique, wherein the steric stabilising polymeric segment is different from the anchoring polymeric segment, and wherein the anchoring polymeric segment has an affinity toward the surface of the particulate material and secures the stabiliser to the particulate material.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2009Publication date: June 2, 2011Applicant: University of SydneyInventors: Brian Stanley Hawkett, Nirmesh Jain, Thi Thuy Pham, Yanjun Wang, Gregory Goodman Warr

Publication number: 20100048750Abstract: The invention provides a method of preparing an aqueous dispersion of vesiculated polymer particles, the method comprising: preparing a dispersion of polymerisable particles within a continuous aqueous phase, the polymerisable particles having a structure that is defined by an outer organic phase that comprises one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers and surrounds an inner aqueous phase, said inner aqueous phase defining a single void within the polymerisable particle, wherein a RAFT agent functions as a stabiliser for the outer organic phase within the continuous aqueous phase, and wherein a RAFT agent functions as a stabiliser for the inner aqueous phase within the outer organic phase; and polymerising the one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers under the control of a RAFT agent functioning as said stabiliser to form the aqueous dispersion of vesiculated polymer particles.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2007Publication date: February 25, 2010Applicant: The University of SydneyInventors: Annabelle Christina Mary Blom, Michelle Jocelyn Carey, Brian Stanley Hawkett, Duc Ngoc Nguyen, Thi Thuy Binh Pham, Christopher Henry Such, Gregory Goodman Warr
