Publication number: 20260038855Abstract: A computer-implemented method controls a power assembly of a vehicle having a plurality of fuel cell systems and an electric energy storage system. The method includes estimating a duration of a vehicle stopover of the vehicle; determining whether a freeze protection is required during the vehicle stopover; and, if it is determined that the freeze protection is not required, shutting down the fuel cell system without enabling the freeze protection. If it is determined that the freeze protection is required, the method may comprise estimating a threshold time indicating a time at which a cost of keeping the fuel cell systems operational outweighs a cost of shutting down the fuel cell systems; and if the estimated duration of the vehicle stopover expires after the threshold time, shutting down the fuel cell systems and enabling the freeze protection.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2022Publication date: February 5, 2026Applicant: VOLVO TRUCK CORPORATIONInventors: Pranav ARYA, Gregory HART

Patent number: 8571701Abstract: A method of filling a restocking package is provided in which a queue of requests of items to be picked from a carousel is evaluated based on a set of user configurable priorities, a carousel is operated based on said evaluating, items are picked from the carousel in response to said operating, and a restocking package is filled with items held in said carousel in response to said operating. The method may additionally comprise filling the restocking package at a configurable time.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2006Date of Patent: October 29, 2013Assignee: McKesson Automation Inc.Inventors: Richard Lunak, Payal Lal, Gregory Hart, Manoj Wangu

Patent number: 7766242Abstract: A carousel used in a restocking system is comprised of a drive track. A plurality of bins are arranged into rows, with the rows being driven by said drive track. A drive mechanism, e.g. an electric motor, drives the drive track. A sensor is provided to sense the position of the rows of bins. A processor is responsive to the sensor and data representative of a plurality of picks for more than one order for controlling the drive mechanism. By combining picks from different orders into a batch, the time spent driving the rows and time between picks is minimized. The carousel may be divided into a plurality of columns, each with its own drive track, drive mechanism, and sensor, to enable several rows to be brought into a pick position simultaneously. Various methods and forms of restocking packages are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2004Date of Patent: August 3, 2010Assignee: McKesson Automation, Inc.Inventors: Richard Lunak, Payal Lal, Gregory Hart, Manoj Wangu

Publication number: 20040158507Abstract: A method is comprised of various steps, some of which are performed at a healthcare facility and some of which are performed at a distributor's facility. The steps performed at the healthcare facility may include: dispensing medical items from a decentralized storage location; automatically generating data representative of the dispensed items; transmitting the data to a central database; and automatically generating a purchase order from the data. At the distributor's facility, a resupply package containing the items identified in the purchase order is assembled and shipped to the healthcare facility. The resupply package may include items in their original manufacturer packaging. The resupply packages may also be organized so that each package carries items for one or a group of shelves or other storage locations at the healthcare facility. The resupply package may be a tote carrying a bar code that serves as an identifier of the contents of the tote and the location(s) to be replenished.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2003Publication date: August 12, 2004Inventors: Robert B.
