  • Publication number: 20070113508
Abstract: A batten riser (10) is inserted into the overlap (11) between a batten (3) and a supporting member which can be a rafter (4), or a sheet of plywood (8) which covers the rafters. The battens support tiles (2) of a roof (1). The batten riser (10) has a flange (16) to assist maintaining the batten riser in position prior to securing the batten to the rafter by means of a nail (6). In addition, the batten riser has a series of ribs (20) on its underside. The spaces (21) between adjacent pairs of ribs both break water retaining capillary attractions and constitute drainage channels to permit water to drain away.

  • Publication number: 20060179783
Abstract: A roof clip (105, 205) for roof tiles (1, 2) is disclosed in which a fastener (4) having a shank (24) which passes into a timber batten (3) is used to anchor the clip. The fastener is preferably preassembled with the clip to form an assembly able to be handled by the tile installer. The shank 24 passes through a base (106, 206) the length of which pre-sets the distance between the batten and hook (107, 207). Preferably the distance between the hook and base is adjustable by means of a ratchet mechanism (219, 229).

  • Publication number: 20050092786
Abstract: A hanger (10, 100) for an article such as a tie (30) is disclosed. The hanger includes either a rigid holder (18) or a pivoted holder (118) and a cover (11) having two cover elements (12, 14). The cover elements (12, 14) are hingedly connected at 13 and are movable between open and closed configurations. The cover (11) when closed clamps the tie (30) in position and prevents it becoming shop soiled. Preferably the hanger (10, 100) is provided with a hook (20, 120). The cover (11) is also able to contain articles. At least one of the cover elements (12, 14) is provided with an in-mould label (22, 122).
