  • Publication number: 20120120578
Abstract: A rack system for supporting one or more information handling systems is provided. The rack system may include a rack and one or more rails coupled to the rack and configured to support one or more information handling systems. At least one of the rails may include an upper support structure, a lower support structure, a slot defined between the upper and lower support structures and configured to receive a guide structure of the information handling system, and a shelf. The slot may have a front end opening proximate to a front end of the rail, and extend toward a back end of the rail. The shelf may extend forward from the front end opening of the slot, and can support a portion of the information handling system when the guide structure is not received in the slot. The shelf may also not be coupled to any other rail.

  • Patent number: 8145711
Abstract: A server to host a multi-player game is disclosed. The server includes a network interface coupled to an Internet Protocol (IP) network to send and receive data related to a multi-player game. The server includes a game play data module to receive multi-player game play data from a plurality of end user gaming devices via the network interface. The multi-player game play data is received via a plurality of unicast transmissions. The server includes an assembly module to assemble the multi-player game play data received from the plurality of end user gaming devices to generate aggregated game update data. The server also includes a transmission module to transmit the aggregated game update data as a single IP multicast transmission via the network interface.

  • Patent number: 7934607
Abstract: A system and method are described for a variable mount arm assembly for installing support structures within different types of rack systems. Embodiments of the invention disclose a rack system support member comprising a rotatable bracket having first and second mounting interfaces on first and second mounting faces of the bracket. The rotatable bracket can be secured in a first position to mount the support member in a rack system that uses the first mounting interface. The bracket can be released from the first position and rotated to a second position to mount the support member in a rack system that employs the second mounting interface.

  • Publication number: 20100162394
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing security to an endpoint device are disclosed. For example, the method receives a signaling message by the endpoint device. The method processes the signaling message, if the signaling message is received from a device associated with one of one or more Internet Protocol (IP) addresses in an Access Control List (ACL), and discards the signaling message, if the signaling message is received from a device not associated with one of the one or more IP addresses in the ACL.

  • Publication number: 20080031713
Abstract: According to the invention there is provided a double-hinged wheel hanger for hanging a wheel on a hoist arm. The wheel hanger includes a clevis with parallel top plate and bottom plate connected by a perpendicular base plate. In one preferred embodiment the distance between the top plate and the bottom plate is substantially the same as the height dimension of the hoist arm so that the hoist arm can be received between the top plate and the bottom plate, thereby allowing the wheel hanger to be attached to the hoist arm. The wheel hanger has an elongate support arm with a proximal and a distal end. The proximal end of the support arm is rotatably received by a recess in the distal end of an arm-connector by means of a horizontal hinge. The proximal end of the arm-connector is rotatably received between the top plate and the bottom plate of the clevis by means of a vertical hinge. Consequently, the distal end of the support arm is rotatable both in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.

  • Publication number: 20070004404
Abstract: A system and method for accelerating network selection by a wireless user equipment (UE) device without having to perform a full band scan (FBS). In one exemplary embodiment, the wireless UE device is operable to determine its location using a satellite-based positioning system such as GPS. Based on determining that the wireless UE device is in a particular area defined by a set of corners, a subset of appropriate frequency data is determined for selective scanning by the wireless UE device. Using the subset of appropriate frequency data, a selective scanning is performed for locating a network by the wireless UE device.

  • Publication number: 20070004405
Abstract: A system and method for accelerating network selection by a wireless user equipment (UE) device without having to perform a full band scan (FBS). In one exemplary embodiment, the wireless UE device is operable to scan in a network environment for discovering at least one network. Depending upon geographic region information decoded from the discovered network's identity information, a logic structure in the wireless UE device is operable to determine a subset of appropriate frequency data for selective scanning by said wireless UE device. Using the subset of appropriate frequency data, a selective scanning is performed for locating a network by the wireless UE device.

  • Publication number: 20060098609
Abstract: A wireless communication network is provided that includes a plurality of access points. A plurality of the access points are configured as local access points that are each configured to operate at one of a set of frequencies and within a communication range. The local access points may communicate with a mobile device within the corresponding local access point communication range. The wireless network further includes an access point configured as a master access point to communicate with each of the plurality of local access points at a frequency that is outside the set of frequencies of the local access points.

  • Publication number: 20060099954
Abstract: A wireless communication network is provided that includes a plurality of communication cells each defined by at least one communication coverage area and a plurality of access points each corresponding to a different one of the plurality of communication cells. Each access point is configured to communicate on a first frequency with at least one of (i) a subscriber in the at least one communication coverage area in a first communication cell and (ii) a subscriber in a second communication cell. Each access point is further configured to communicate on a second frequency with an access point in a third communication cell.
