  • Patent number: 8256047
Abstract: A combination of a treatment device and an anterior support device is disclosed. The combination includes a treatment device having an edge and an attachment member movably secured thereto and an anterior support device having an elongated member which interacts with the attachment member. The anterior support device has first and second pivotable connectors, one being secured to the elongated member and the other to a padded rest. The anterior support device also includes first and second movable rods secured to the first and second pivotable connectors. A second end of the first movable rod is rotatably connected to a second end of the second movable rod and an actuating mechanism is connected to both of the second ends of the rods. The actuating mechanism enables the first and second rods to be locked in a set position to maintain the padded rest in a desired orientation relative to the treatment device.

  • Publication number: 20100019028
Abstract: Systems and methods for transferring money internationally or domestically using conventional financial institution accounts and infrastructure for transfers but using non-conventional procedures to initiate the accounts. Such system comprises a non-financial-institution, non-employer, sponsor; single or multiple remitters, multiple funds recipients, a card processor; financial institution accounts for each remitter and each recipient. A remitter initiates a remittance account for himself, and a recipient account associated with a recipient. A debit card and PIN are linked to the recipient account. Multiple remitters can be affiliated with the sponsor, or a remitter can be the sponsor. The sponsor can be a non-profit. The system may track information into an account, and identify and record sources of funds transferred into the account. The debit card and PIN can access funds at a POS or ATM. Funds are transferred electronically between remitter and recipient accounts, and accessed using the debit card.

  • Publication number: 20080103970
Abstract: Debit card systems having loan provisions, and methods of use. Such systems couple a debit card to a financial account having access to the national eft system. The debit card system satisfies the requirements of TISA Regulation DD. Debit card accounts of the invention enable the card holder to access proceeds of short-term loans using the debit card. When coupled with deposit of the card holder's payroll into the card account, by the card holder's employer, such short-term loans are automatically repaid when the employer makes a payroll deposit. Card systems of the invention satisfy the notice provisions of TISA regulation DD by funding the debit card account with loan proceeds only after the card holder has received notification of the conditions, fees, and other costs, and releasing such funds for withdrawal through e.g. an ATM only pursuant to requests therefore received after the card holder has approved such conditions, fees, and other costs.
